Bought some blu ray and HDDVD titles. The HDDVD are selling for RM35 to RM45 which is a bargain.
Velodyne CHT-10R is selling for RM1900. Tempting to buy but not sure it's cheap or not.

QUOTE(chinmh @ Jul 27 2008, 10:28 AM) Is that from A&L? I went to their room yesterday but only asked about the CHT-12R, RM2600. Somebody bought the CHT-10R recently from their Sg Wang shop for RM2000 so if you can get it for RM1900 I reckon it's a pretty good deal. |

QUOTE(apisgogo @ Jul 27 2008, 02:59 PM) PCM... Not noticeable. But the DTS HD MA, I found that DH 4.0 packs a little more oomph compare to my PS3. I mean the same details but with more dynamic. Dolby TrueHD is abt the same though. Maybe need to crank to louder vol to feel the difference. Unable to do that since my baby is sleeping. On PQ, I find PS3 better. Or is it me being get used to it. The colour a lil 'cacat' for Sammy. 'Stomp The Yard' AQ is quite good, packs with a lot of low end grunt. |

The HD-DVD titles on sale are reasonable but sadly, not all the titles I wanted are available but I got them cheap from eBay UK and Amazon UK. My friend even managed to buy the super rare Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four on hd-dvd with DTS-MA, I think it's either a German or French import. In Japan, they have Underworld on hd-dvd too. That's the good thing about eBay, you can get to buy super rare titles from across the globe. Velodyne CHT-10R is selling for RM1900. Tempting to buy but not sure it's cheap or not. sunauto, I do not have the AVP 2 BD.
The DH4.0 got a problem. Maybe it is due to DTS HD MA or the player itself. Suddenly, the AVR display goes into 'berserk' mode looking for codecs. The audio got cut off and on. Only happens to this BD. Overall, not really impressed with BDP1400 other than its ability to bitstream the 2 'magic' codecs |

Morning guys....
Finally re-watch "Cars" with my CHT-12R....this is UK version and it came with Dolby TrueHD only unlike US version that came with LPCM. Tell you....the racing sound.....I am in the center of the race circuit and part of the audience.....wonderful!!!! The PQ no need to say, it's tier 0 quality. The roar of the engine, tyre screeching, pile up, it's like in the F1 circuit....off course I've crank up the volume to -12db lar (just nice and the neighbor won't complaint) ....but it would be even better if I can do it at -5db if the wife not complaining |

Fuyoo, the RPG firing really rocks my KEF surr speakers. First time, can feel the sheer power of RPG flying from front to surr speakers. Even those gunshots ringing out at surr speakers, I can feel the power of the AK-47 and M-16. |
