I like moumoon, their songs are not bad, I like how the singer's English is not Engrish lol...but I prefer their older style, more pop/rock/indie than the recent ones. Their recent style like chu-lip, not my type. But i can't wait to try out this new album.

Just wondering, where do you order your japanese stuffs? Yesasia or CD Japan or ?

I've always ordered my DAI stuffs from Yesasia, and I'm thinking of getting their new album coz there's DVD with lives on it, so tempting, despite the price. I've only bought their Tour DVDs so far. But there's only the Japan region available right? Will I be able to play the dvd on my player here? That's also why the tour dvds I bought were all HK version, region 3.

EDIT:
Just listened to the whole album. Loving it! Much more than EIGHT. With EIGHT, I had like 2 tracks that I always skipped, but the tracks in TM flows smoothly and it's more serious with more mid-tempo/ballads and only few more poppy songs. Aside from the singles which are really awesome btw, I like these tracks (in no order):

PRIDE
Sun Shower
恋歌
もう一人の僕へ
Go Ahead! - perfect track to end the album, very easy-going and makes me wanna bounce around lol thumbup.gif

There isn't a track I disliked in TM. Hope it'll do better than previous one in charts.

This thread too much focus in boy, girl bands ????
btw...

cool2.gif

*
I think what he/she means is that because a lot of ppl get so crazy over boy/girl groups *hin*halyu*hint*, this thread (jpop) is dying. I still think the solo artists or group/bands that are less known (to the ppl who are ignorant about them) provide much higher quality of songs instead of those by groups like akb48 and the likes.

BTW, why do ppl say groups like akb48 as BANDS? They're clearly groups! They don't play any instrumentals at all. sweat.gif

you should try DAI's 10th anniversary live DVD 'Eternal Flame'. it showcase new guitarist, new bassist as shown on the DVD that come with the album 'Time Machine'

the highlight of that live DVD is the medley that DAI performed. really worth watching & collecting.
*
I have that wub.gif Started collecting their live dvds since Live 2004. The only concerts I don't have are their Deep Forest (but I dl before xD), 3rd Anniversary & Live in Japan I.

Maybe I should consider getting the Deep Forest or Live in Japan. drool.gif

Perfume - Baby Cruising Love

my favorite part of the movie!!! the guy dances really well too lol and it's just so random the whole situation at the park is.

not a techno/disco type of person but somehow I seem to enjoy some of Perfume's songs a lot, recently...even now, I've been listening to them nonstop for 3 hours. I like the odd dance moves and that's what makes their choreograph unique and refreshing compared to the other typical dance groups. Although their voices are processed, I still like them.

anyways, i really love this live performance of theirs at tokyo dome, amazing how they made it there though, such huge crowd!

anyone here has the Tokyo Dome tour dvd? if so, how was it, is it good?

another talented singer-songwriter like YUI in progress?

I prefer this single over Sabrina. But if she really keeps this up with solid singles and eventually a good album, I'm sure she'll make it big.

Btw, I really enjoy Angela Aki's new single - Kokuhaku gives a more refreshing feel compared to her typical older piano-driven singles.

i often buy the HK/TW versions though, DVDs that is. Cheaper but still pretty much the same *to me at least*, I'm not that picky. The Japan versions are out of my league, too expensive. I often order from yesasia.

By the way, just listened to Crystal Kay's Vivid.
Recommended: Take Me Outside, Forever, What We Do (great!), Superman
Pretty solid album, some tracks have cool dance beats and the arrangements are nice. Umm...tempted to get the album. Not a huge fan of RnB, I only listen to some artists like Speed and Namie Amuro, Soulja etc, these selected few.

Any favorite sites?

my favorite band is releasing their 10th album next month! yay!

Love the album cover art, simple but it's symbolic. Grabbing the CD+DVD version. New song (the first one) sounds great~ Can't wait for an official preview of all tracks. wub.gif

since everyone's on Scandal, happy that they're actually coming to msia, despite how little j-pop/rock gets attention here. Not a fan of them, I tried listening to their albums but i guess their pop/rock style is just not my type. Although I generally like girls rocking out with instruments.

on another topic, I just listened to Namie Amuro's Uncontrolled though I have it in my laptop for quite a while already. I thought it's pretty solid, cept for some songs which I think, she should just stick to singing in Japanese, instead of mumbling Engrish all over. Besides that, I'm thinking of purchasing it ^^

I prefer stereopony tongue.gif
but i will go support Scandal if time allow...
KODA KUMI new singles..."GO TO THE TOP" pv..also as a Opening for anime "Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse"

My favorite Japanese all girls band will always be ZONE, really like Mizuho (drummer) too bad she's no longer in the new ZONE. Only two of them came back but their new tracks are not bad. Second will be Chatmonchy (also a two-piece band now), but their music is acquired taste I suppose, kinda like AKFG. Then Stereopony and SCANDAL a tie.

I'd like to go support too, and just to get a feel of a live concert by those girls but considering how little I know of their songs, it'd be awkward for me (if everyone begins singing together around me). But I'll see about it. December sounds pretty good.
