Yup. The organizers seems to be laying low now. And according to them, they'll be going all out with the promotions next month with contests and stuff and they're also bringing in their new album. Limited edition merchandises will also be sold. They've even gotten ANIMAX as sponsors and the commercial will be out early next month. Will be interesting to see how big this will become. This is the first time I see so much effort being put in a Japanese artist.
The organizers aren't happy with the sales even the concert tickets are sold 50% with such a limited promotion? That's really quite a good sales. lols, i wouldn't have known Scandal opening a concert in Malaysia if not being an active member in lowyat forum so it's really bleh....Take a look on how those kpop activities are everywhere although those groups are already popular and in contrast, Japanese artists have little exposure here and plus with a little promotion is given on them for their concerts and then expect them to sell out in a week is really like a mission impossible. At least the advertisement should be on Animax and on magazines that focus on japanese animation which target on the right audiences. However, I didn't see anything. lols, even some old chinese local singers have more promotion/exposure when having activities in Malaysia.
Japanese artists oh, Japanese artists.....what happened to you guys? When your concert is having good response, you guys act dumb that you don't know you guys have so many fans and still no initiative is taken. When your concert is doing fairly good, you guys aren't happy and afraid of expanding popularity in overseas.
So far, only AKB48 is expanding their popularity in overseas.
