this is basically a little rant...out of topic but just yesterday, I was trying to get SPEED's Live at Budokan 2009 DVD but the price for the Japan version is appalling. It's RM250-ish at yesasia.com and there's no HK version. Arghh...I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a concert. (it's different if you're actually there to watch them). But for a dvd? If there's a HK version (i know some still prefer Japan version but it doesn't really matter to me), I'd have grabbed it without thinking twice. Sad.

ok so I just saw Evan Taubenfeld's tweet and got so excited! You're wondering what has he got to do with J-pop. Well, he isn't related until now, guess what?

He's collaborating with Stereopony and they're called Evanpony HAHAHAHA, funny name I have to admit but can't wait for the single to drop!

Evan by the way was Avril Lavigne's ex-guitarist (my favorite) and also her best friend. I mean, how did Evan even know about Stereopony?

Just read that Stereopony is disbanding. Aimi, lead vocalist will continue making music (not sure yet how), but the other two bassist and drummer will be in the new band, Evanpony with Evan. Kinda sad Aimi no longer with them, probably her polyp throat thing was pretty bad, I don't know the details since I don't follow their news, but it's still shocking and sad.

So just wondering, Evan's gonna sing? Now that Aimi is not there. Does that mean, their songs under Evanpony are all english?

Waiting for my DAI new album and their live DVD .... tongue.gif

Do As Infinity vocalist Tomiko Van has revealed that she has married a non-celebrity man earlier this month.

yups, same here! though I'm bit disappointed there'll be no singles or PV for the new album, they're not planning on releasing any this time around. But it seems from the interview that the album's gonna rock either way. And I'm really happy for Ban Chan, finally she has found the right one.

7 more days!!!

i hope this will not be DAI final album sad.gif

I don't think it's final biggrin.gif They seem to be having lots of fun making music together ever since their reformation so very little chance of it being final album. However, because they made this in such a short time, accord to a recent interview, Ban Chan mentioned that they might consider a longer time before releasing the next one. Probably a short break. Well they deserve a little break considering how quick they recorded this one, less than a year.

not really a fan, just a regular listener but addicted to Harukaze recently. So much so that I hunted all of their albums, got them and listened. Found a few gems biggrin.gif

would love to go and support since you don't get japanese artists come often, but nobody's going with me. And I don't know where kl live is either. laugh.gif

Yeah it's more like a once in a life time thing for me biggrin.gif

And the tickets are quite cheap too.

hey just realized you're from Kuching? tongue.gif me too, but currently studying in kl. I kinda want the gold area since it's the upper tier, however, the thought of free standing is a bit *tough* for me. I've had bad experiences with the avril concert before, it was wink.gif people pushing and etc...somehow msian crowd is really bad in general. I know they're excited and all, still no need to push. I admire the Japanese crowd, they know their seats/spaces and kinda kept their distance. but i do enjoy the whole cheering and jumping around together when it gets hyped. *i just hate rude and inconsiderate crowds*

Sorry for this long post hehe...So I've listened to DAI's newest album, X or ten, and it's pretty alright, not amazing or awesome but it's got some surprisingly good tracks. Coz they didn't even release any singles prior to the release except two tracks on Itunes.

My first impression was:
- this album has more ballads than previously
-only 10 tracks?! Felt like it's missing something and it's short!

Overall, if I were to complain anything, it's the number of tracks offered. Of course, we get all 10 new tracks because they didn't even release any single and PV. But still, another one or two tracks would've been really nice. I mean, it's their 10th album! okay, so maybe that's their point, 10th album so 10 tracks. And released on 10.10.12. How obvious can they make it? LOL Another downside is how their sound has gotten very similar since the new DAI was formed. What you hear in this album is their comfort zone and you don't get to hear anything outside that. You don't get whacky tunes like you do when Dai Nagao was around. You don't get crazy or sick riffs delivered by Ryo anymore. And that's what I missed most from them. I hope they take some time off, get back in studio and look back at their past songs and try something new rather than this normal formula, coz it's getting bit old.

I'm waiting for the HK version of this album for sale on yesasia hehe

I like nano.ripe! I discovered them from that anime, Hanasaku Iroha coz they sang the ending theme which got me hooked and I began searching for their singles etc. Love these few tracks a lot: Patricia, Saibou Kioku, Yumeji. Although sometimes the lead singer's vocal is a bit too high-pitched for my liking. xDD

currently watching. arrghh i dun like the stupiak fancy2 dressing
feels like they have been exploited.sigh..
*
lol isn't exactly a fan and I had the same thought watching their first dress, so dramatic and too fancy. Where's the rock? haha
but I do like their second half kimono type, and definitely the boots (doc martens probably). Thinking of getting the dvd just coz.
I prefer the second half by the way. Maybe because more songs that I like.

btw, @mls_gamer, I'm listening to nano.ripe's latest album atm and loving it. Definitely better than their first. new pair of alessandro headphones really helps to bring out the guitarz too hehe cool.gif thumbup.gif
