3.80 MM3-4 Update released:

QUOTE
Changes:
M33-3:
- Fixed synchronization issue that plugins check code caused in PSN NP9660 original games (fixes 0x80010013 error)
- Added a couple of libs to the nids resolver.
- Added some internal changes required by incoming 3.80 popsloader plugin.

M33-4:
- galaxy.prx was changed to a new version that is giving problems with slow memory sticks.
Reverted back to previous versions. This didn't only affect decrypted isos running in NP9660 mode.

Can be installed on any 3.80 M33 version
POPSLOADER for 3.80 M33 has been released as well, requires M33-3

3.80 settles the remote play issue for previous custom firmwares. before this they had to do a PSARdump and replace their flash0 files to enable it.

Remote play is pretty impressive, the only failure I got was trying to switch off the ps3 over the internet. Connection got timed out so ps3 left turned on tongue.gif

Yeah I did the remote play prx replacing on my 3.71 M33-4.

Anyone here is into CXMB or just only using PTFs for themes?

wah.. so techinical di. how u do the flash 0?
*
A few ways to access flash0:

1) Recovery menu -> advanced -> toggle flash0

2) M33 VSH recovery menu (press select on XMB) -> change USB to flash0 then activate usb as normal

Be sure to have a NAND dump for your PSP beforehand especially if you have a Slim as corrupted IDstorage cant be shared between PSPs and it cant be recovered even using DCv3 and Pandora.

Somehow there are some slowdowns with MSes after the 3.80 update. The list is too long to be pasted here. I can't verify the list as I'm still on 3.71

sorry for trouble anyone here.

i had read through the guide but still no idea how to upgrade to 3.80 M33.

can anyone give me a step by step guide?

and can answer some of my questions please.

1)i am using a 3.70 M33 firmware  slim PSP, so should i use Pandora or DCv3? i heard that Pandora can't work well on slim.

2)so Pandora and DCv3 have same function as well?

3)i still need to create nand with other tool?

4)i heard that can't update(some sort of that) with the usb, or it will damage the idstorage or flasho or flash1. can explain to me what is that?

*end*

please don't flame or ban me, because i have no idea how to upgrade to 3.80 M33.

thanks.

1) Pandora and DCv3 are only needed if you want to downgrade to older FWs. You can also use DCv3 to update to 3.80 but it is easier to use normal method

2) Pandora batt is required to make the PSP to read IPLs straight from MS and DCv3 have the software needed to flash the NAND

3) If you already have a NAND dump then you dont have to make a new one

4) Flashing via USB is buggy on 3.71 M33-2 but it has been fixed on 3.71 M33-4 but to be on the safe side, make sure you have a NAND dump for your slim. NAND on the PSP is where the firmware is stored. There are 4 NAND partitions: flash0, flash1, 2, 3, etc2.. flash0 stores the firmware and flash1 stores the setting of the PSP, flash2 for DRM licenses etc2. Somehow on slim, the flash0 is kinda encrypted and if the partition is damaged, you cant recover it fully unless you have a working NAND dump to restore it.

thanks for your explaination.

1)so if i wanna upgrade to 3.80 M33, i don't need the Pandora and DCv3?

2)i used to create a NAND before.but is that NAND contain for 4 partitions? or just for flash0?

3)so j have to create DCv3 to prevent my PSP bricked?

4)once i bricked my PSP, i can't swithc on my PSP? or cant go into XMB?

5)how to check my PSP is 3.70 M33 v2 pr v4? it only show 3.70 M33

sorry for the troublesome question again. notworthy.gif
*
1) Yes

2) The dump contains all flash0 1 2 3 partitions

3) DCv3 is needed to restrore bricks but the chance of bricking during fw upgrading from MS is quite negligible

4) You cant go into XMB and Recovery mode as well

5) if 3.70 M33 then it is most likely v1

The minimum requirement to upgrade to 3.80 M33 is 3.52 I think so you should be fine upgrading from your current FW. Make sure to upgrade to 3.80 M33-1 first and then only upgrade to M33-4

ok, final confirmation.

first, i have to download the 3.80 firmware, then download the M33-1 and M33-4.

then put the update and M33-1 in PSP/GAME/

since my firmware is 3.71 M33-1, is that possible i use usb to upgrage it to 3.80?

update not mean flashing?
*
Flashing via USB means rewriting the NAND chips directly using USB connected to a computer. Normal upgrading only flash the NAND using memory stick inside the PSP. You can transfer the files into the memstick via USB.

You dont have to go back to Malaysia to use CFWs. I bought mine from HMV UK about a month ago and already on CFW smile.gif

Thank you so much Lakum !!!

But greyfox said I have to get 3.52-4 M33 first , does that means I DL the "3.52 M33-4" ? and then "3.90 RELEASE" ? Or is it "3.90 M33-2" ?

Sorry !!!

If in doubt, do it incrementally or read the README of your final desired firmware for requirements

Sigh .. I am extremely new to this ...

I DL-ed 3.52 M33-4 and the official 3.52 , renamed it to 352.PBP . I pressed on the "M33CREATOR" which stats a "3:33:33" on the screen . An error came out again ..

My current version is "3.10 OE-A' "

I am sorry again guys .. Sigh

Try with 3.52 M33-1 first

Download 3.52 M33 (1).. put the 352pbp as usual and follow the readme.. after your PSP is on 3.52 M33 (1), then upgrade incrementally to 3.52 M33-3 and then only to 3.90 M33
