I encountered the same problem on my PSP

Even though the same game, but different ISO rip or different version (e.g US/EU version), the save game may not work

I would suggest get your friend's iso and try

That is if you are using ISO games la
*
yes, the save game not gonna work if the game in on diffrent region since the code is diffrent. But u not gonna get an error if u put diffrent region save game on ur memory card, because they use diffrent folder.

to format your memory stick:

1)go to SETTINGS in your XMB

2)Click on system and scroll down to Format Memory Stick

simple as 123.
==EDIT==
please backup the files you want so that you don't lose your files inside that you want.
such as music, photos, movie, savefile from game.

5zal06 use fake m.card so its not a good idea to format trough psp since psp will format with fat32. Its better to format with fat16 for fake memory card.

The best way is to use this software to format fake m.card...

@blackamikaze
well what is the diff between fat32 and fat16?
look like fat32 more faster than fat16?
if so why not just format with fat32? im blurr.. ^.^
*
the diffrent is FAT16 have bigger cluster size than FAT32. For the speed, FAT32 is not faster than FAT16. FAT32 just uses space more efficiently compare to FAT16.

But for some reason psp read faster with FAT16 compare FAT32, maybe the big cluster size help psp read data more easier.

Anyway this only true for psp n maybe certain devices but not for pc..

but i thought you can just format your mem stick with your pc without a 3rd party program?. but havent tried it though.
and, fat32 is faster to read in psp than fat16. read it somewhere. by formatting with your pc, you'll format it as fat16.
*
well because many people claims they get better result with that program for fake card. Since the program itself is FakeCard 1.5

N im quite sure Fat16 is faster compare to Fat32 on psp, unless u talk about Original Memory card, of course u not gonna see a diffrence. well at least that what i read on many forums.

QUOTE(toottut89 @ Sep 3 2008, 03:29 AM)
so if format it to FAT16, will it have better read write speed?
*
it only help psp read better. Write speed should be the same i think

QUOTE(larva_eve @ Sep 3 2008, 10:46 AM)
thanks blackkamikaze and auhckw...

hmm, i guess its the firmware then...cos i did copy the entire game from PSP A to PSP B...

sigh...gotta replay from scratch...

by the way, how do u determine which version the game is? for instance, EU, US etc?

well i thought i might try downloading some saved games from gamefaq.com...but dunno which and what...hmm
*
Use UMDGEN .. u can see the code number of ur Game.

QUOTE(5zal06 @ Sep 3 2008, 01:34 PM)
really?

no wonder i format my m.stick from the psp ..nothing happens,it just make things more worse,i cannot save game file(fm08 game)
other game can
and there's a corrupt data, when i deleted it and go to the save data again, the corrupted file was still there

and news updated,my problems getting much more worse
i tried to connect my psp using usb cable with the m.stick i format yesterday, and when i click O.my laptop suddenly becomes blue screen with big fonts and it restart automtically,i try it twice already..so how im gonna use blackkamikaze software if i can get the m.stick to laptop?
*
It seems u have more serious problem, not because of fat32 or fat16. SOunds like u have a faulty m.card. Did u have another memory card?.. or maybe borrow it from ur friends to test?..

I'm new with PSP.

Just bought PSP 2006 model, metalic blue last week.

I would like to ask if 1200Mh battery is a standard package come with this model or 1800Mh battery is the correct battery for this model.

thanks all for the info.

regards,
*
1200Mh for Slim psp and 1800Mh for phat psp

I'm a newbie with psp, not even getting one yet but will getting it soon. I was browsing through some psp forum and i found out there is this PTF,CTF and Flash0 themes,i understand about CFT and Flash 0 but what is a PTF theme btw?? it is the same as CFT themes? same installation method?
*
PTF is just a normal theme that can be use on sony psp without any homebrew or whateva. Just put the PTF in THEME folder. This theme format is an official format by sony.

But of course it's not as impressive as CTF or Flash0 theme.

kelvin get sandisk. its better, i did research already. and im using sandisk ori 8gb.

blackamikaze, i formatted my fake 4gb to FAT16 did a blackSPEED check. no difference in reading and writing.
*
i said psp read better and easier with Fat16 not do miracles like change the top speed of ur m.stick.

its like same car with diffrent quality of oil. Both can archieve the same top speed. But u gonna feel that the car with better oil give smoother performance.

N blackSPEED cant tell u that. Blackspeed only test the top speed of ur m.stick.
