QUOTE(11Jan @ Jun 27 2008, 09:12 AM)
why do u say that spaying/neutering is cruel?

have you read enough on the topic to come to this conclusion?

i find that most people cannot accept the idea of spaying/neutering simply because this is a rather new practice in our country. without bothering to understand why it is encouraged, they just open their eyes wide and go into shock when the words spay/neuter is mentioned. i'm not going to go into the pros and cons of it (actually, there are no cons, and lots of pros), i'm sure you can find lots of info on that on the internet.

and how does it amount to a marketing trick? pls enlighten me
*
i think he thinks it's a marketing trick because then ppl won't be able to breed the pets and sell/give to friends. then those pet shop breeders can have the market all to themselves lol.

there's 1 con to spaying, price tongue.gif ok la, not that expensive..

is there any age advisable for a rabbit to get spaying? or if the rabbit too young is not good to get spaying?

QUOTE
When is a rabbit too old to be spayed or neutered?
veterinarians will have their own opinions on this, but in general, after a rabbit is 6 years old, anesthetics and surgery become more risky.
It is always a good idea, in a rabbit over 2 years of age, to have a very thorough health check done, including full blood work. This may be more expensive than the surgery, but it will help detect any condition that could make the surgery more risky. This is especially important if anesthetics other than isofluorene are used.

I want to ask again..

My rabbit dun seems to eat its alfalfa hay..it only eat pellet..is that ok? I try to limit the pellet..but it only eat little bit of alfalfa when I limit the pellet...
*
you can't be forcing your rabbit to eat whatever you want it to eat, just let it be, it'll eat what it feels like eating. the hay is mainly to help with the digestive system, so at least a bit is better than nothing.

ya, rm12 per panel! it'll be cheaper to just buy cages haha

i just did a metal fencing around my backyard, and it costs RM12 per m. bought the whole roll for RM100 which comes out to RM6.67 per m. it seems pretty sturdy, but i'm not sure whether you can make it into panels or not hehe.

Hi all, i have been browsing this webpage for quite some time as i am actually looking to buy a rabbit for my daughter. she loves them and wants to keep them. however, looks like the rabbit is out of stock in klang valley. and if they do have it is like RM 120 and above.
Really do not have that much budget to buy a rabbit... very expensive. can anyone give me some advise on where to buy rabbits at a really reasonable price. really appreciate it
*
hi there, you can have a look at beh's stall at amcorp mall during saturdays and sundays from 1pm-7.30pm. he has very cute little holland lop bunnies but then they're kinda pricey. if you want cheap rabbits, then have a look at pet shops like the stall at kl sentral, but those are not quality rabbits.

thanks.

not quality rabbits means??? die fast??? got sickness??
*
that is possible, but mostly they're not a good breed, also not pure breed or close to pure breed. they may have some bad genetics in their line like bad habits, diseases, etc.
