Waiting for SPM results .

Invest on gold ... long distance earning, if I can I want to make it short and fast .
As the share up a few cents, then I will sell it off . Just like that

How much capital do you plan to invest if you want to earn via this strategy? hmm.gif

Actually I want to know the capital should I've biggrin.gif
So that I will plan and earn it before my school starts smile.gif

If want to earn few cents, RM 20K - 30K for a start should be good.
Otherwise I think RM 3K should be good enough to breakeven the broker's fees.

Hmm .. can I know what do you mean by 'to breakeven the broker's fees''?

Sorry, newbie here  rclxub.gif

The cost to break even with the broker's minimum RM 12 (Assuming it is RM 12 minimum fee).
Broker charge at the rate of 0.38% or RM 12 whichever is higher.
So 3,000 x 0.38% should be close to RM 12 which we call "break even".

a question about T+3,

if i sell shares with total value of rm1000, then i buy shares with values of rm 1000 on the same day, do i need to pay for anything on t+3?

or should i just top up the money so that they wont sell the shares i bought?
*
Yes, you need to pay T+3:
- Cost of buying and selling.
- Any losses from the transaction.

If you have the money to hold, why not? hmm.gif

hi all,
i'm reading abt share margin financing... but a bit confused with "Margin of Financing" and "Margin Call"... what are the difference, and how do they calculate those ratios?

is there any specific thread here that discuss Share Margin Financing? would like to know further about this facility
*
We already have an existing thread about SMF. Maybe you can check it out and gain some valuable information. My advice is not to pursue this kind of financing scheme if you have no prior trading knowledge before.

Hi there, I'm interested in investing in the stock market and it's my first time investing. Since there's a lot of uncertainty with the future of Eurozone, I would like to take advantage of the situation. I have very limited knowledge on how I should make my first move but is it possible for me to invest in the overall KLSE board? I was planning to invest in Bursa if my presumption of how things work is right. If not, please let me know the correct method.
*
Invest in overall KLSE board? Means you're planning to invest in index linked counters?

I suggest you to read more and accumulate more wealth. For starters, I'll recommend RM 3,000 as a good start.

sorry , just asking a noob question ? Long term investment is buy shares and keep it for long time ? or buy ipo or unit trust ? still confused ?
*
I have read your thread and this is something that I would like to share with you.

First, I think you need to understand the term "investment" because your questions on IPO and Unit trust seems vague and shows lack of understanding on "investment" term.

Investment is putting money into something and expect a gain from it within a period. It can be short, medium or long term. Typically a long term investor will buy and keep for dividends. They do not have much intention to sell unless being offered a very good price, and do not care about short term fluctuation in the market price of their holdings.

IPO is Initial Public Offering. It is when company wants to get listed in the exchange and offer their shares to the public. There is no track record of their performance except their prospectus.

Unit trusts, well is putting money and let it manage by a professional manager.
