Hi all. Since most of the ppl reading this thread is into HD stuff. There's something i need to check with you guys. I`m using WD TV to play hd media and the video output can set up to 1080p and my projector is only HD Ready so it can accept 1080p signal but will only display it at 720p. So do i set the output in the media player as 1080p or 720p? Does it make a difference in terms of performance?

why dun you try and see which suits your eyes best?

I set mine to accept 1080p24 when the source (PS3 playing BD) is in this format..

I think that's why I immediately went to checked my free bulb function the last time I bought the AE900... can't remember exactly the waranty period..but was a concern on short period,

surely will since there would be new models by then.

Planning to get one? brows.gif

Btw, Mitsu 5500 aint that convincing for the price that it demands here. Probably it may be due to the setting w/o using DVE. I find that the black suffers from slight smudging (smearing) in dark scenes. The transition from bright to dark scene aint as smooth as I thought.

This pj is very quiet compares to Infocus X10, which I auditioned earlier. Color is a tad too vibrant. No issue here as it can be tone down. I have yet to test out the Panny AE3000, which is almost at the same price range.

so AE2000 and AE3000 almost same price? how much more?
anyway Im getting too lazy to use projectors. maybe just settle for a 50in full HD can liao...

or just settle for a AX200 for cheap cheap. i feel paying 50% less for a 720p is more bang for the bucks than say full HD. Dont think the eye candy is 50% more
