Welcome to join our FS kakis .
Thanks for sharing your FS experience. You are good at playing FS also, have the biggest and most garang FS in school and kept for almost 1yr.
Last time i also kept my FS for quite long time... i also think almost 1 year.. maybe tat time still young feel time pass so slow .. maybe my 1 year feel tat time is only about 4-6 mths time. I don't hold any FS champion tittle coz my Malay fren FS kakis more expert, their FS all very large size and power. See their FS fight and kill so many other FS daily makes me more determine to train my FS to compete with them but i still lost in fierce fight. For non-malay, i can consider myself FS king la, coz the other Chinese or Indian fs kakis in school cant beat my FS. Most of them gave their injured/kecut FS to me after play for few days/weeks.

Ya, i during my FS hunt, i also saw black ants eating FS nest or eggs. Beside black ants, other species spider or small lizards also eat FS.
Nowdays, very few places suitable for fs to breed this making them almost extinct especially at town area...

If you have difficult to find food for your newly caught FS, you put banana skin outside your house, alot of beri-beri or small flies will come. You can either smack or scoop the small flies and let ur fs feast on them. Last time i used to feed my FS with other type species smaller spider because i belief feeding the spider, my FS will eat its opponent during fight. Koppap of chop FS normally will have this insatisable hunger and will kill its opponent if din get enuf food to eat bfr fight.
Sometimes, if i really cant find any good food for my fs, i'll wait till night time where i can catch those light bulb small flies. Those insects have fat back abdomen, should be juicy and nice to feed FS also.

Do take some pics or video of your FS fight and post up here. It will be more exciting to see new FS.

I feel further up Menara Tinjau area towards the hot spring or SG Gabai waterfall area should have some nice spot to hunt for FS. No kakis to go hunt with me, so normally i go hunt alone... but feel good also coz can get all the FS for myself. If have more kakis also good wont worry if hunt at those deserted area.

I haven't go further up tat area to hunt FS yet but last time i caught 1 giant Bu at Menara Tinjau. She's really large size... easily dwarf other big/medium size male FS.

If take lrt train+bus+cable car about 1 hr 20 mins, this packge cost ard rm10 1 way.

I'm staying at Setiawangsa, KL. Can reach easily via LRT putra, just stop at Setiawangsa Station.
Next week i only off 1 day 8/11/09 Sunday.

My other long leaves on Nov. Don't know what to do yet. maybe go for short holidays or if SG fs kakis coming kl, can meet up with them oso.

Your FS from pic looks like average size. If its a partial chop, it can give a good fight for other FS. Maybe u can ask Mindstorm whether he wanna let his FS Max fight with ur Colgate.

Normally i go hunt FS nearby housing area, Indonesia embassy roadside lily plants, behind Gleneagle medical centre, Bukit Nanas forest reserve or at Taman tasik perdana. I hardly go far away to hunt. The furthest place i went is to Bagan Lalang oil palm estate, my neighbour kampung area. Go there hunt alone quite scary de.

Maybe should go try hunt for FS at Cameron or Genting Highlands .

Nope, but my housing area should have some FS. Mostly small to average size nia.
Nowdays raining season, din go and check my housing area FS.. think still about the same.

Don't have any good FS hotspot to hunt..

This morning i went check out my housing area fs, found 3 male fs but all small size.

Your FS seems quite big size. Can fight with Mindstorm FS, if any SG FS kakis come KL, can try challenge their FS also.
Saw their FS fights from General, BTL, Ah Seng, etcs..most of the fight quite fierce also.

Ya... even the small garden area near my neighbour house which have bamboo trees have been trimmed n cut off... tat is the place where where i managed to catch large FS like Archillies, Spartan, Hope and Xinan bfr.
Nowdays quite hard to find good FS hotspot place in town area... maybe have to wonder further away like Kuala Selangor or Sepang area.

Yup, jump chop from far and fight till both upside down for quite some time. Too bad the video ended halfway..


Check out this long python caught at Alor setar kampung place.. maybe if we go kampung area can catch much more bigger size FS.

Wow.. lotsa new FS fight videos.
Thanks for all the SG fs bros to keep this old past time hobby alive. You guys certainly bring back the past FS fight glory to the current days and make it even more exciting with more clear long power fight videos. Koppao, if you feel dun have much time to take care FS, can pass to other FS kakis or let go the FS at good habitat place.
You are among the first few SG FS kakis tat join us in this FS forum and make FS experience in SG more exciting. Later, more and more SG FS kakis join put in alot effort and time to make FS experience alive! Thank you to all of you all SG guys.

Sometimes after play FS too long, dun have strong/fierce FS, dun have enuf time to take care of them, or dun have new place 2 hunt fs - we will feel abit demotivated.. maybe its better to take a break for a while.. later when have the mood den can join back play FS. I also stop play fs for months already, dun have any new place to hunt for good quality FS and lack of time but i still read this FS forum daily.. i see you guys there in SG still have many FS and go hunt FS 2gther, makes me feel the FS experience is still very much alive.

Today i'm off, so decided to go SG Congkak and Hutan Lipur Sg Congkak to enjoy green nature.. actually i wanted to check out the FS there more..
SG here means RIVER.. not SINGAPORE ok? Congkak is a Malay traditional game consist of many holes and small stones to fill into the holes.
Congkak River have alot stones along its river .. tats why why its named as Congkak River.

I alwys wanted to go there 2 hunt FS since last time but don't have any kakis and cant find any good reason to go there.
Frankly speaking, i've never been to these place bfr eventho i'm staying in KL and roughly know where the place is located.
I went out alone at afternoon around 1.30pm. SG congkak is located about 40km away from KL town and very close to Sg Gabai Waterfall. Drove and reach there in about 35 mins only. Check out the pics.

Picnic hut and chalet. Cheap rental, only Rm5 for picnic hut, chalet abt rm20 pernite



Open space garden. Good for team building games and activies.



Further up Congkak River is the Hutan Lipur Sg Congkak. Its a forest reserve, the Congkak River flow from deep inside the forest.
Only RM1 entrance fee into this forest reserve. The lady there told me if follow the normal road track about 2km deep into the forest, if follow the jungle trek...can go for the
3D2N package , trek till deep into the forest and can see waterfall but very far la..



Inside this forest reserve, Congkak River water more clear and flow much faster





Some picnic place, rest area and chalet. RM60 pernite. Kinda scary sleep here at night in the middle of forest... dunno at night wat may come out from the forest leh. There oso have several package like jungle trekking deep into the forest to waterfall area and jungle camping,



Start looking for leaves which might have FS .
I only checked the leaves nearby the road track area only, dun dare to go alone into the forest small track lane..later if get lost sure big problem.



Try to use my FS hunting skill and start check the big leaves .. saw one big spider... but not FS.


Keep searching.. and after some time found a big size spider and a small one .. its from other thiania sub species..alot shinning green stripes. Kinda exotic type.
.

Then its start to rain heavily.. Its about 4.30pm already and the area in the forest looks like almost 7pm..Dark and spooky.
I was already almost reach the end part of the road track in the forest and if i turn back.. i need to walk/run 2km back! Pack my stuff and took shelter at a nearby rest area but since the rain doesnt seem goin to stop soon.. and its quite dark & late ady so i decided to brave the rain and run..
Man.. i'm soaked wet..lucky i wear jacket type of clothes and hat to cover my head. Think it took me about 15-20 mins to get out from the reserve forest. Cant run 2 fast, later if slip might fell into Congkak river.

When i reach my car at the car park.. i saw a young couple inside their car doing project .. The girl saw me and got a shocked and quickly get back to her seat position. Earlier she was on the guy seat place.

I wipe off the rain water and drove back home.. damn stuck in jam and reach KL around 6.30pm.

Ok.. heres the other Thiania subspecies i caught from Hutan Lipur Sg Congkak.
Should be the same type like Mindstorm caught bfr last time at other forest reserve area.

Big ? I think this one is a female. Brown skin colour.




The other spider. Small size. Have darker skin but same striking green stripes. Looks like a male but its arm damn short.

Too bad, the smaller size spider kecut, ran away after see the bigger spider approach.

Hiaz... too bad i din managed to catch any King Kong size FS at forest reserve 2day.. Hope will have better luck next time.
Anyway, i enjoyed myself seeing nature beauty and have fun experience explore new places. Its the adventure that thrill me except running in the forest during heavy rain la..


Mindstorm, you interested to get the thiania subspecies spider?
I can give it to u. Maybe you can try breed them.

It medium size only. Smaller than the Giant Bu last time i caught bfr.
The smaller size spider i think its a male coz it have white face and abdomen is black colour.

If can get these type of subspecies FS sure a good catch!


I'm off Sun-Mon. Next week i have long holidays .. 7 days off starting on Sat

Added on November 15, 2009, 9:13 pmYup, the spider looks exotic type. Its green stripes really shinning.. i try to put at dark room and c whether its green colour will glow in dark but it didn't.
Its finger/hand friendly, didn't jump here and there like other "ghost" spider.

I'll be on 7 days holiday soon next week starting Sat. i don't have any good plans yet...
Just want to clear my annual leaves and get away from my office hectic work.

If you can catch those insects alive better. Can see the FS hunt and kill the insects for food.
Dead insects also okla, can drop it infront of the FS. The FS will jump and bite it.

Male have longer arms, thinner back abdomen and have white face.
Female have shorter arms, fat abdomen and dark/black face.

You can try read the front few pages, mindstorm have post few pics of male and female bfr.
Or you can chk out FS videos in youtube. Lotsa FS fight videos there.

The Bukit Cahaya seems like a good place to have outdoor fun activities.

Nowdays everyday also rain sia... very difficult to hunt FS after rain coz most of the leaves also overlapping each other coz of rain water.

Nowdays everyday also rain.. morning, afternoon, evening and even at night.
Don't feel its a good time to hunt for FS during raining days.

Today till Fri i'm working till 12 midnite.. not free.

Chk with Mindstorm yesterday, he maybe free this Sat. Next Tues he's off.
Mindstorm suggest try search nearby my housing area lrt bushes along the big drain/river
Later maybe we can go Ampang housing area garden or Bukit Nanas forest reserve nearby place to chk.

After i feed the spider some light bulb insects.. now look quite big size. Bigger than average normal FS... when it jump can feel its landing impact also.. but definitely not as large size like Giant bu.

Pandan leaves, Spider lily plants, long leaves plant like banana leaves, wide leaves like daun keladi, short red/green bamboo leaves, daun nipah, palm oil leaves, etcs.....

You can try read the forum from start..got alot pics of type of leaves to find FS.

I also looking for best place to hunt FS... i feel those kampung area with lotsa leaves/bushes can get some good quality FS.
