Pelican Metal Gear Solid 4 Bluetooth Headset

There's no shortage of enthusiasm for the upcoming launch of Metal Gear Solid 4 in any segment of the gaming industry. Pundits and the public are stoked, and as a matter of fact, so are gaming peripheral makers. Pelican has been working with Konami for a while prepping a special tie-in product to greet the game's release in America, and from the looks of the final product, MGS4 may well be greeted by the coolest game-peripheral tie-in we've yet seen.

We've got the first official pictures of Pelican's Metal Gear Solid 4 Bluetooth Headset for the PlayStation 3, which show off more of the product than the leaked sales sheets that hit the net a few weeks ago. As a matter of fact, our pictures are of the real product that just arrived in the office. While we work on the full review, take a look at what Snake would use for his calls if he didn't have slightly more advanced technology available.



The MGS4 Headset is a standard Bluetooth 2.0 hands-free device, which means it can be paired with both the PlayStation 3 and any Bluetooth-enabled cell phone so you can rock it both at home and on the street. We're certainly down to roll with it in public, as it offers a good deal of contrast to the stand-issue Bluetooth headsets on the street. Spec-wise its battery life is rated at 8-hours of talk time and 160-hours of standby.



Pelican will launch the Metal Gear Solid 4 Bluetooth Headset day and date with the game's release, June 12. Retail price will be set at $59.99. Stay tuned for our upcoming feature review to see how the headset performs in the heat of battle / the streets of Los Angeles.

bros, just relax. personally, and this is from a reader's view, they should not have mentioned about 'whimsy MGS' . Finito. Biasalah, you knowlah, people have their own poison. so I think just let them be lah. I finished the other game, frankly speaking, it was awesome. at THAT time.  one of the reasons i bought my xbox in the first place. well, that and Forza. oh Fable too. tapi, attacking other games just because you can never play it on your console is stupid. seriously.  Personally, I am a fan of games. If its good, I'll say its good. Sometimes I wish, people have more accute reading skills to differenciate between console/brand fans than gamesfan.It is okay to be ignorant in some areas, but some people abuse the privilege.
