When all else fail, it's god's will that we change from Cam(Confirmed-Tak)Pro to CamPro IAFM system (like it's younger Persona sibling)  blush.gif

No lesson of the day is prepare money one the car is close to 100k km. Chaning to CPS with a weak crank will just break it again.

aku rase la maybe ade kaitan ngan ACP. last time aku tgk kes mcm nie time my bro in law punye kete (proton saga old model) die gune ACP main high rev RPM then suddenly timing belt putus

ACP = adjustable cam pulley which is NOT EQUAL to a Lighten Crank Pulley, two different parts please.

So putting two cam pulleys and gaining maybe 2 hp can snap a crankshaft, reasonable?

There is no excuse really, if it's not strong it's not strong, don't blame other things.

I need to change to better TCU .... Everyday I drive uphill and downhill to office.. From Jalan Maroof to Sprint Highway, the downshift force my "wife" to eat so much petrol. cry.gif .. RPM reach 5k , km/h reach 70km/h only yawn.gif .. but when reach bottom of hill, my car can fly tongue.gif

Anyone here master their Gen2's TCU ? biggrin.gif... My car sometime downshift and sometime doesnt, (even on the same highway going downhill) ... Cant even pinpoint the conditions for the downshift.. is it rpm related, or km/h related?

If dont change, I'm going to die  laugh.gif  ... First pump full tank for my 2nd hand gen = 321km for $65 ... 9.7l/100km ($0.20cent per km cry.gif cry.gif)
Maybe he "modded" the car? whistling.gif ... Can help check past receipt? Maybe can find model number and pricing laugh.gif drool.gif

If the g/box downshift and you don't step on the gas pedal, the engine is not using anymore fuel than idling, in fact the ECU turns off the injectors. It is more obvious in a manual car because when you step on the clutch you can actually see the rpm will drop below idling and the ECU will restart the engine by firing the injectors. So engine braking doesn't use fuel at all actually.

Havent tune the car (don't think that prev owner did any tuning) ... Now waiting for salary to go and do tuning cry.gif... People has been quoting me 200 for meca-tune, using experiences instead of computer sweat.gif ... any cheaper recommendations?

P/S: using auto tranmission yawn.gif
But when it downshift, the RPM shoot to 3k++ , doesnt eat petrol ?blink.gif ...
Just by downshift-ing, my RPM jump to 3k++, sometime until 4k .. if i press petrol, it doesnt upshift cry.gif only make my RPM jumps to 5k++. Like this, my car should eat more fuel... But cool2.gif when reach bottom and it upshift, see alot of powah drool.gif .. but have to slow down cause cutting into highway sweat.gif
Thanks for the updates rclxm9.gif

Yeah if your foot is off the accelerator then it won't waste petrol

Difficult to say what it is, it could also mean angle position sensor a.k.a crank angle sensor, which some guys who had the broken crankshaft said was one of the symptoms before the crankshaft broke. What is the mileage of your car?

If the timing belt is on the driver side then can, i cannot remember how the 4g93 is oriented. But anyways better buy the CPS version if you are choosing a new car.

I got 1 problem with my car. I dono it's a problem or not. But when i swith off my car and take out the key and switch of everything including the aircond and radio, sometime i can still hear the sound of the air cond or maybe the engine running. Why like this, please advice. mine is gen2 1.3
*
Yeah it's normal, what they have done is wired the thermostat directly to the fan circuit, so when the thermostat is still open after the engine has stopped the fan will continue running even if the ignition is turned off. It's good actually because heat soak happens once the engine is off.

i think the fan will operate itself when it needs to..not the tick-tick sound laa

its a clear fan sound..something like u turn the car's air-conditioning on lo

if not mistaken savvy oso got..my fren told me his savvy is like that

Dovienya,

its not that i dont want to custom it..but since the early batch got why they remove?

i wonder its to cut cost or its not good to have the fan running

btw..i feel my steering vibrates when i hit 150-160km/h..can some1 tell me wat to replaced/service?
*
Because most probably too many customers return to SC and complain 'fan rosak engine sudah off tapi kipas masih jalan'. So instead of explaining it they removed it, becuase malaysians are never satisfied, if you proton say it's good they will say it damaged their battery and want to claim new one, not because they installed cap ayam HID or cap ayam VS or cap ayam amp bla bla bla.

Same as the intake snorkel, the very veyr first few units had the large one, but...... customers complain filter dirty too fast and noisy, so proton shrunk it, customers happy.

and btw guys.... i'm thinking to change my headlights to projector.. since 1 of my headlights bulb bracket broken.... the H7 projector is as good as OEM? if no i'm going back for oem with philips xtreme power edi...

and oh yah... heard lots of complain with eagleye products like leaking water and not bright.... it make hold back my decision... haih... damm
*
Yeah, the real truth is the drive by wire is very slow to react. The controller is slow that's why the rpm stays up even after the pedal is release. Try to balance the rpm at 2000rpm while stationary, it's impossible to, you either overshoot or don't reach.

Nice. For me, it only happens when it rains VERY heavily and I have the headlights on. Other that that, there wont b any fog. If there is any condensation however, it takes about 10mins for it to evaporate. It's not much anyway, jus the inner corners. Only way to see it is if you stand in the rain and look at it so i guess it's not much of a problem.

Called my guy, he told me that the only reason I can see the condensation now is cuz it's black, making stuff which are white (ie vapor) easier to be seen.
*
Condensation means poor job done lah. It's not because it's black it's because it wasn't resealed properly
