and did proton deny this that it has nothing to do with them?
they should explain on this matter..shouldn't they?
this is very serious here due to alot of member ady kena
I think none of the owners are interested yet to bring this to proton at the moment, since it will take a lot of patience and also money to fight them with this. Just run the numbers through your head how many campro powered cars would be affected, all gen2, waja campro, neo, BLM, basically any car with a campro engine on it. They sure as hell are not going to let them win at all.

I agree that certain modding should not void the warranty on the engine

But at the least, I also believe that the owner of the affected Gen2 should "list" the modification that they've added to their Gen2

.
Some mods could've been the root cause, like a poorly tuned adj. cam or perhaps the extractor installed by some technician's apparentice?
Or worst case scenario ... Proton themselves doesnt know of this problem ...

None of the mods involved internal modifications, all of which are just add-ons, if the engine can't even handle that it's a real piece of sh1t. EVen if their cars have been to the track and used for spirited driving, a crankshaft doesn't crack at where it did and all at the same bloody place. At most the power of the engines would be 110hp which is according to proton spec is standard.
