QUOTE(daijeklou @ May 27 2009, 05:06 PM)
Hi all, i am considering to buy a Gen2,  what are the different btw CPS and IAFM? The listed price are 60k and 56k, possible to ask for discount from Proton?   Is proton car still trustable now? FC how? i need advice
*
Get Gen2 CPS~ I just did it in March and I am a happy owner by now ,but minor proton issue sure got lah~

The unsolve one is as below :

Left rear window got wind sound above 110km/h , going to ask them to rectify it again.
my CD/MP3 player cannot play MP3 as they installed wrongly , waiting Proton COE to replace it

Resolve :

I cant pump full petrol previously , which fixed .
the 3rd brake light cover cant clip properly , which result in replacement .

You made it sound like Gen2 is almost the perfect car.
I don't want to bash it so much. Because I'm also driving it. But to be honest?
I never really liked it since I got it til now. But I am still thankful it never really breakdown while driving half way.

No offense man smile.gif

hazril - iafm is the better option if u got the moolah...if not waja airbox might sound reasonable...but for my drag machine, standard airbox+pipercross+large snorkel is enuff until i got a mak datin to sponsor me a set of iafm or even convert to cps ehehehhe drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif

Well, I didn't say it was perfect..there are some problems don't u fully read my reply? doh.gif
Well, I love it since the launch..even the pre-facelift Gen2 sweat.gif
You can't get a brand new car with that 'feel' (satisfaction) at that price anyway~ whistling.gif

For me,

it's average of 34-36L for every 320KM ..
I'm driving full 100% KL roads.

There is a few method I'm testing now:

1. Reduce the speed to (avg) 70km , rpm 2000 plus minus.
2. Consistent speed; meaning = minimize braking.
3. Control right leg; meaning = dont rempit.

But it is hard. Even when we dont decelerate, we can go to 90-100km so easily... whistling.gif

p/s: Low speed in gen2 = very boring. laugh.gif
