QUOTE(shazmn @ Mar 4 2009, 10:23 AM) normal proton car issues... I feel that the new Gen2 and Waja's ride to be as good as european rides.. Juz maybe not exactly the same since we're not paying >Rm100K~ my dad's waja power window prob once in 8 years... the v6 gearbox problem once changed to mitsubishi apa ntah n equip with gb cooler fine until now also already 8 years... other normal probs like some bunyi cengkerik is solved by DIY...nothing much of an issue... yes now my bro is using a Nabira...2nd hand... owh well some ppl just luv a 2nd hand european cars so just be it its funny how he complained a local car n soon after he got his nabira after 2 months he complained the brake pad all 4 haus already need to change...n change using cap ayam sumore so i'd say...proton all the way Besides, Nabira is really an european MPV right?? |

Hello guyz..finally I can officially say I am qualified to join u all~
Got my ride over the weekend, and so far so good... Problems found: 1. Rear wiper water nozzle blocked (warranty claim - 2 weeks) 2. Boot light unavailable (Bought bulb - RM6.70) 3. Driver door protector fell off (Replaced F.O.C.) 4. Leather of leather seat front passenger loose (claiming warranty - 2months) 5. Boot lid panel loose (Pushed back in place) 6. Tyre caps missing (bought metal caps to replace) 7. Bottom of front bumper scratched 8. Steering wheel vibrating @ 110km/h (higher or lower speeds, stable) 9. Driver side view mirror vibrates (loose maybe?) So far owning the car is a dream come true.. Problems encountered are minor (hopefully that's it!).. FC is @ 6.2L/100KM.. Got T&G, SmartTag, door visor, and full tank and also R3 goodies with the car on top of a RM6K discount.. Pls add me: jVIPERs2 ~ Gen2 CPS AT ~ Nanbu Black ~ WS* 7850 @ Puchong |

QUOTE(norseman @ Mar 24 2009, 07:29 AM) Wow, that's a lot of freebies! The bumper scratch is ironically caused by the ramp leading into the service center~ My probs are quite minor: steering controls sometimes mix up, rear driver side door central locking, seatbelt light. Scratched bumper bottom but its my fault. QUOTE(Dovienya @ Mar 24 2009, 08:42 AM) New or second hand? If second hand, I know the answer to item 8 and 9. It's new.. Any suggestions of how to repair?? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(norseman @ Mar 24 2009, 11:07 AM) Which PSC is good? Got any around Cheras? That's very light footed drive! I get 6.5l/100km for highway, 7l/100km for city and 7.5l/100km for cameron, haha... QUOTE(Blue_Diamond @ Mar 24 2009, 03:33 PM) wow..that's really a good deal..just curious, what R3 goodies you got? I got a T-shirt, cap and lanyard..nth great but better than nothing~ wow..CPS (A) so good FC..mine is 11.1l/100km..terrible.. If u push the car, FC will go up like your trip meter! |

QUOTE(Dovienya @ Mar 24 2009, 05:22 PM) Mine is near DHL, Puchong ... Hahahaha! Exactly the same.. Nowaday, I always park outside, let them drive in. If they bang, then can claim It's the same, sure scratch....Juz they go real slow that u can't hear the scratch... QUOTE(norseman @ Mar 24 2009, 06:35 PM) My bumper front and back bottom all scratch already, but is all my fault parking too close to curb. Yupz...crazy Proton, design car that is too low.. No wonder launch in Thailand 1st la~ jVIPERs2: Actually I not light-foot at all, especially going Cameron. Keep down shifting and overtaking ppl. Hmm... dunno Gen 2 FC meter can be trusted or not. Anyway just went for 1st service and reset the meter, see if got any changes. Lucky it's not that low coz still can make it over those high bumps where those older modded Civics drive funny over~ |

QUOTE(zenwarlord @ Mar 30 2009, 11:01 PM) lock ur door, then pull the passenger handle halfway and slot in ur plastic ears.... I worry the door handle break..since many said they broke the outer door handle d or hang ur plastic on the door lock latch (the one u pull n down for lock n unlock). Mine is the new version (Persona style), can't hang at the lock latch coz slides down completely.. |

Hello guyz..got a question:
I noticed this at my brake fluid container: I was told it's supposed to be like this (taken frm toyota car): Should I get it checked at COE?? And also, I can't get my warranty claim if I don't get a letter frm my dealer saying that the parts have defect when I took the car. But my dealer is now very reluctant to produce that letter, so COE says cannot claim warranty. Anyone can help pls? Oh also, I juz transferred VS frm my mum's car to my Gen2.. I'm worried about warranty issues, will it void warranty?? Thanx for your time guyz.. |
