I normally use Office to do project on my Windows Vista. Now i'm changing to mac and dunno which one to choose. I know that Microsoft Office file can be read from iWork but iWork file cannot sad.gif

and about the price iWork 08' is cheaper, right?

both only come for 1 license ka?

i only need Powerpoint (Keynote), Excel(Numbers), and Word(Pages).

so which one is worth the price? think to buy one of them end of this month.

TQ for helping notworthy.gif

no. It only import. And the formating will be not the same. Mess up wink.gif

If you serious with Office stuff, I suggest you have to use Office 08. Especially numbers, it is still not in advance level.

If you could change all of your offices (I mean real offices) softwares to NeoOffice or OpenOffice, then it will be great if you want to save cost.

If it is not, get Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.

if for presentation, go for keynote (iwork 08)
word, go for openoffice

so, u can save money for not buying macoffice2008

but, if you have more budget, better get both...

but so far, i love keynote verymuch..
it helps me getting A s in couple of subjects...

Better get iWork 08, for other applications you can always use Neo Office which is fully compatible with MS Office.

When i tried the office. It's sluggish, slow, unintuitive. plus it's making my mac seriously very unpleasant to be used. Of course, some feature in office is nice while you dont get it with iwork.

I supposed the workflow and how efficient you can work is everyone's priority. iwork files can be made compatible to office and vise versa.

It's like taking itune in windows. same misery, different thing.

@shoguniphicus,
I been informed that's because Mac Office 2004 wasn't built for the Intel chipped Macs - it was meant for the predecessors. Am awaiting Mac Office 2008 as that should speed things up.

Anyone who uses office seriously, and by that I mean requiring pin point formatting accuracy and other stuff from older documents / colleagues should stick to M$ Office. If you're in college / lite user, then give neo office a go. I love neo office, iwork is pretty but redundant.
