Wow, you guys seem to buy racquets more than you can play with. Buying racquets seem more interesting to you guys than the game itself. 2-3 racquets should be enough IMO. Don't need to buy another one unless your current racquets breaks or is useless. But of course, if you have money, by all means....I feel jealous...

yonex armortec 800 OF & DF are sold at retail price of RM999.00 each. however, should be cheaper after discount.
never heard of volkl racquets before, any website to refer to?
i heard yonex nano speed 7000 has arrived in singapore. i am waiting for its arrival here so tat i can grab one soon.
some of the yonex shoes are not tat reliable. somehow doesnt last. the sole it self is ok but not the side sole.
my existing yonex which cost me RM300++ lasted me for more than a year. perhaps i am lucky
cab 21 special is definitely below RM200. but might get over RM200 if you include a good grip and very good string. i heard the price for the racquet has increased

I think i'm just like ma43q, currently i stick to just a few brands of racquets like Yonex mostly.
Other funny brands just doesn't sound like a badminton racquet at all.

Well basically i believed racquet play a very important role, but u can talk about RM 100 to RM 800 a piece so what the point here! Well guys i not really good at badminton,i still believe skills is much important than those expensive racquet u r talking about!!! Jus tell urself, why u need so many rac for, some more u r not going for tournament rite so jus use back the same & save $$$. Correct me if i wrong.

hey Pooh, we are discussing about racquets, and we are not showing off our racquets. if u think the skills is more important, then so be it. i personally agreed that skill is important (read my previous posts) but i like buying racquet and i ENJOY the feel or the expensive racquets. why on earth do i want to save my money while i liked the racquets? what you said is indeed dumb. THINK BEFORE YOU POST HERE!!
i am playing badminton for fun, i enjoy the game , playing with bunch of veterans as i am the youngest there. Owning 1 dozen racquets doesnt mean we have to go into tournaments. if u think that buying good racquets are only justified by entering tournaments, then i think u r really naive.
it is like buying cars, why on earth people are buying BMW , volvo and even ferraris with 3L, 4L or 5L engines and get stuck in the traffic jams in kl ? it is not because they want to buy the cars for illegal racing/ or entering SEPANG CIRCUIT but they enjoy driving good cars and final thing, they can AFFORD buying those expensive cars.
so, i can afford to buy all those expensive racquets and who are you to question other people's interest?
we are discussing something here and i am just providing some personal opinions, and pls read the title of this post. do u understand the posts or not?

hey myhat,
i myself not really sure about the differences, but definitely there are. i read about the differences in some websites.
the price quoted is quite reasonable but perhaps it is not inclusive of string and grip but still quite a good buy.
i dont like the color of the defensive model, prefer the offensive one.

as informed....the price including string, grip and also its bag....i've heard also that they will be given away a pair of socks for free.....
one thing comes in my mind.... seems like even in one model...got different specs so called gred manufactured.... say like AT800....i've seen some guy in other forum bought the same racquet...but some of them with the spec of 3U and some are 4U and so on.... it really make me confused.... to me...that really hard to know and choose...becoz people generally speak the model...but actually there is issue of weight also should be think of....
any comments on this?

sorry, overlooked the items u quoted and myhat, i think i cannot go and look at the various new brands in the market as i am not staying in KL or anywhere near it. I am from kuching. since that the package inclusive of string and grips, and a pair of socks.----> very reasonable price. but perhaps i suggest that u upgrade to good overgrip (u definitely dont want the racquet to slip from your hand) and BG68Ti and string it to 22Lbs tension for a start. if i am not wrong, it comes with 2 grades, 2U 3G, and 3U 4G. i could be wrong. i will post the proper grades once i go to look at the master catalogue from the supplier. The higher the number, the smaller the grip is and the lighter the racquet is. my armortec is the lightest of the grade. different grades also affect the max amount of tension the racquet frame can withstand. so you have to ask yourself whether you like bigger grip, and slightly heavier racquet or you prefer lighter racquet. just bear in mind tat, amortec 800 Of is head heavy. i will try to get the differences between Of and DF model also once i get my hand on the catalogue.
