I think.. if u spend the money for a racq like AT 900.. no point for u to get a 4U....

a racq tend to have more power not just becoz of it's weight....
Balance point of the Racq, stiffness of the Racq also contribute a lot... but power always go the reverse direction with the Racq swing speed... that why u see people use 3U n 4U in Double game.. and 2U mostly in single game... |

wrist of course are very important..
backhand rely heavily on wrist.. by only using wrist.. U can be much faster.. n resque shuttle which limit ur movement of ur arm.. cheat ur opponent by arm n wrist doing different thing.. etc etc... |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Apr 16 2008, 10:14 PM) i never really bother to take note of the lbs used... maybe it's 22 or 23 or whatever number...but the most recent one, i think it was pretty high and i have problems delivering powerful smashes.... when the tension going higher.. although can deliver higher power smash.. but the timing have to be more n more accurate... meaning .. the chance u hitting u shuttle to deliver good power smash in higher tension are slimmer..... |

QUOTE(muslayer @ Jun 5 2008, 10:04 PM) no matter how strong ur arm are... u smash not going to be powerful enough in intermediate level and above... if u are using a 5U... simply becoz u racquet momentum not enough... except ur balance of of ur racquet are extremely high like almost in the head of the racquet(mean .. put the racq on ur finger.. ur racq can balance on ur finger while ur finger position are almost near to the racq head)... but even if u have such a racq.. the shaft gonna be extremely fragile and can't even stand ur strong arm 1 smash.... @want to paint ur string.. try a pen call "Sharpie".. is a permanent marker.... |

basically.. the double player use lower balance point racq.. mostly even balance instead of head heavy.. coz need very fast swinging speed...

I am back from my game.. today feeling not right... stomach something wrong...
so.. come back to tell my feeling about my newly bought NC Tuff9... I got to say.. I miss my N2 very much... NC Tuff9 balance are a bit too high for me.. arm n wrist have to be very very strong to handle it nicely... first.. swinging.. baseline to baseline.. yeah.. pretty good... because it is head very heavy.. ur wrist have to be strong to make it fast enough... then.. start to do some smashing... first 2 smash.. I already have feeling on my arm.. little pain.... I can't get the racq swing as fast as my previous one.. so.. naturally.. I try to push.. and my arm giving me warning liao.. able to get some powerful smash.. I know it gonne very offensive if can handle the racq well.. frank.. my arm not yet strong enough for that... sweet spot.. this racq have smaller sweet spot compare to my n2... because it still using conventional stringing hole/method.. Vibration.. this part I really don;t like... although vibration are not very much.. but it can't totally insulate.... my n2 and even my Fisher ProNo1FT doing a better job in this sense... u can never feel any vibration in Wilson n2... but u can feel it in NCTuff9... this is the first time I use it.. need a bit of time to adjust myself to it.. have to train my arm stronger and also my wrist to handle this racq.... Miss my n2... final words.. NC tuff9 not bad racq... but u definately need a very strong arm n wrist to handle the racq.... very very offensive.. maybe more suitable for single.. beside.. today pair with my partner play with a Junior Player.. who sponser by KLRC to play in Vietnam open sort of things... 2 vs 1.. I know what is call "GOU SAO / High Hand" now.. 21 to 12.. 21 to 13 knd of score.. 2 vs 1... no fight... |
