Agreed. Top up a little more and you'll get the gainward. A little more still the Gainward Golden Sample
The 4850s run a little hot on the reference cooler iirc, so it's more recommended to get one with a custom cooling like the Gainward which comes with Arctic Accelero under it. It claims to run 30% cooler.

maybe u can hunt for 2nd hand 3870..

not much ppl selling their 3870..( cant find even 1 that still selling, and is it slower than 98gt right?)
but for 8800gt they selling around RM400..( i can afford this )
then saw storm88 selling 9800gt OC just RM410.. then blank already.

well, maybe get 3850 is ur option too?
due to ur single core and might limit the card...

i scare u put 4850 into will also limit ur gc,
so no point to spend so much in gc 1st.

IMO, 3850 2nd hand around RM250 is dirt cheap and damn good liao lo...

Bro, you should be able to get an E8400 for around 550.
Allngap is selling OEM E8400s for RM420, however u need to get a fan for it.
Anyway, a 2nd hand 3870 would cost around RM350.
Well, it might not be as good as the 9800GT, but for that price, it's hard to complaint.

Powerslide, wat tracers are u using and how much u want?

Allngap E8400 is overpriced I would say,
pay that price rather get an retail unit,
I believe everyone here use third party hsf...

in case "touch wood" with the problem,
you wont be so pain...

actually retail unit price should be max 60% of the original price,

Guys, need some feedback here.
Tried to call Gaban the other day but he was not around, already talked to KC regarding the issue. Ok here's the situation:

I just got an Gaygaybyte EP45-Extreme from another forumer. It was a cash+exchange deal.

I received the mobo last week, set it up bare and tried to boot. Upon 1st boot, i got C1 error with continous short beeping. Checked the manual, C1 is ram related while continous short beeping is Power error. I noticed that my processor fan socket is not functioning, there's not power from that slot. I took out my rams, tried out in another pair of slots, still C1 and power error beep. Then took out both sticks, tried the ram slots 1 by 1. When i come to ram slot 4, it booted, but 1,2, and 3 all still C1. The used another piece of ram, C1 all the way to ram slot 4. Then i got my spare micron OEM rams, also same thing, booted on ram slot 4 single stick. Everytim i try to boot dual channel, the board gives C1.

So here are the statistics:
Pairs of rams tested in multiple configs: 6 pairs
Times booted dua channel: nil
Times booted single channel ram slot 1,2: nil
Times booted single channel ram slot 3: 1
Times booted single channel ram slot 4: 5 times as of last nite

Do you guys think this board need RMA or is it my ram problem? Anyone has any idea what is this due to or what could have caused this?

This deal is not completely done yet as i have not sent out the item from my end. Only banked in the cash portion. So do you guys reckon me to send this board back for a refund or try get the rma and only send the other party the item traded once i get my replacement board.(the more desirable situation to me)
