Hmm. Isit that some versions of the N81 doesnt have the navi wheel? I tried on my friends and it seems to have the traditional D-pad.

huh? what u mean by N81 without navi wheel?? The d-pad itself is the navi wheel, in music player and some other apps, u can choose to scroll the page using tradition d-pad style, or just circle ur thumb around the d-pad and use the navi wheel function...
btw, the navi wheel function can also be disabled if u think it's annoying or useless |

Hi there,
Just got myself N81 2GB AP set. Add me to the owner list Got a few questions on the firmware update. 1) From 1st post, to support Chinese language, APAC or Malaysia region product code is needed. Found on Internet a few product codes but not sure which one. Can anyone PM me the Malaysia code? 2) My current firmware is latest version without Chinese language support. After product code change, can I still update the firmware to latest version with Chinese language support? 3) Anything that I should be aware of? Thanks! |

no, i mean the mp4 itself..
i heard there are a few types of mp4, so the converter u use might not be converting the file to the format optimized for our phone, that's why it lag.. anyway, i would suggest u to give smart movie or mobile divx player a shot |

LOL, no offence I am really laughing at all the post above.
I am not gonna explain long here, default player has limitation, supporting lesser frame , max reso at 240x320, and lower bitrate, it goes jerky if any of the settings goes more than the one set in specs sheet. Usually I dont use default player cause it sux to the most. Use coreplayer to play the file your want, if it is still jerky then for sure the video settings is too high to be handled already. Here is the settings I use Smartmovie / core player - avi or mp4 (choose your own compression) , 240x320, 500kbps bit (can go higher if you want, but 550 is good enough already for mobile) , 30frame or 25frame, audio mp3/aac - 128kbps/96kbps - 44100kz. Real Player - Mp4 , (whatever compression you want divx, xvid or mp4), 240x320, 350kbp or 300kbps, 15frame, audio can be same with the above. If u convert music video then set better sound quality, otherwise if movie, u can set lower |
