Eh ...

This happened to me twice already. I use my phone, then when it's near-full battery put in my pocket and then few hours later battery dead. Any ideas what apps might have accidentally run that can drain my battery that quick?

i cant install de shakelock app..whenever i install,it ll come out an error "certificate error"...another thing is after i had updated my firmware,i cant read chinese character.how to install de chinese language input as my phone only hv two language(english and thai)..thanx
Shakelock got 4 total sis files. Shakelock and python already signed, shouldn't have problems installing. Got 2 other sis files (forgot the name) that you have to go to symbiansigned and get it signed via open signed online.

as for your chinese input problem, you gotta change the product code using nemesis software suite and re-flash firmware. probably your product code is a thai set now, u gotta change it to apac or malaysia or singapore.

@ tzethye >> well I've noticed that the new firmware, on my phone causes applications to hang more often. i.e. when I receive a new sms, if I click the keys immediately (as like 1 second time), the messaging app will sometimes hang.

The new garmin + new firmware still got the problem of when I rotate, it will sometimes hang and fail to redraw the map. Very annoying when I'm at a junction and it hangs and I won't know which way to go. In addition the new Jan map ... for some reason it won't go into 3d mode at all ...

cause i check mine starting up is just fine and dandy but haven't actually use it to navigate yet.

Mine starts fine but only during navigating it hangs occasionally when rotating screen (which is a huge problem now that the auto-rotate is so damn sensitive with the new firmware). When/if i turn off the auto-rotate then it's no problem.

How to hack your phone to install unsigned apps.
*
Eh, at the moment open signed online is up and running so it's a non-issue mah. Only thing is you can't share your sis files with friends via bluetooth lor cos the sis is locked to your imei.

And I think the new firmware is the suck. Surfing emTube just now, one of the videos my phone hang (totally hang, no response at all when pressing the apps key / power key) ... zzzz.

Do you know professional photographers are still using cheap instant camera to check shooting conditions first before shooting with expensive film?

Are u ignorant or plain clueless on the real world?
Yay, personal attacks! You fail both at logic and at flaming.

But fine let me humour you. So assuming a professional, film-using photographer uses the N82 to check shooting conditions. He then uses his expensive camera to take the final photos, no?

And if so, will it matter a single bit if the photo taken by the N82 has a small reddish hue in one corner?

No.

By the way, are you a girl or a guy?

Are you discriminate on gender or another sex pervert who misuse of N82? Gender is irrelevant in IT forum.

I ask your gender because generally guys are supposed to be able to argue with logic, but you are living proof that there are exceptions to every rule.

QUOTE(Fearless @ Apr 17 2008, 06:51 PM)
Ignorant is called personal attack. The God must be crazy now. Go learn from pro. cameraman to know how ignorant you are. Ignorant is not equal to logic.

Not only did you totally and conveniently ignore all my arguments, but your choice of comeback is terrible. Terrible in that I don't even understand what the hell you're trying to say. And even after I translate this literally into chinese I still don't understand. Here's a tip: read this website before replying, otherwise I will not continue this argument with you (don't want to get infected with your stupidity.)

And let me quote you again.

So let me get this straight. I don't know much about professional photography, by all reasonable estimations a niche hobby/profession, and that makes me ignorant and clueless about THE REAL WORLD???!?!?!??? Damn, I bow to your superior reasoning, please oh great Fearless, teach me more about this photography that you are so pro at, otherwise I will starve and die!!!!!!

(last I checked, this was the N82 forum, not photokaki)

I also re-installed all my apps but there are some that ... can't. e.g. my messaging app hangs sometimes and I can't reinstall that ... zzzz.

@ Naruto >> Haha just having some fun with Fearless mah. All I did was comment a bit and then suddenly I'm ignorant and clueless about the world, rofl.

Dude I already conceded defeat, you won the argument! I'm sure everyone else here realizes that you pummeled me into submission with your superior wit and flaming skills!

FINE I know where this is going ... you want something don't you??!? So here's your prize --> not one, but TWO INTERNETS (attachment)!

OK seriously then >> I've been speaking with the only two professional photographers I know (one's a senior photographer for NST Singapore, the other does studios, weddings and concerts full-time and is the "semi-official" photographer for a local artiste), and neither of them use compact digicams/phone cams in their work.

I don't debate your assertion that some photographers probably do use digicams/phone cams, but evidently even among pro photographers this is hardly common knowledge or common practice.

However I do take offense at "ignorant" and "at the world." The former is more accurately used when one lacks understanding about some commonly-known fact. e.g., I cannot call you ignorant for not knowing that, say, the taiwan stock market settlement cycle is T+1 for stock and T+2 for cash, because that is not something that the average person would know. Likewise, photography is a niche profession. And now, among all the pro photographers I know (all two of them rofl), none use digicams/phone cams. You therefore cannot assume that the average person would know this little tidbit, and thus "ignorant" cannot apply.

Let me also re-quote you one last time, emphasis on the bold:

THE
REAL
WORLD

??!?

Self-explanatory.

I figure I owe it to you to attempt to debate in a civil and intelligent manner. Read that properly, because this is the last bit of effort I'm going to make for this topic.

I don't know about fearless, but I wasn't arguing seriously also. Random flaming = more interesting!

Any of you guys feel that N82 screen is too small? Lol ... when I first bought it I thought wow this screen is so big ... but after using it for a while I find myself wishing I had a bigger (a-la N95) screen instead, especially when emTubing or trying to surf the net.
