Volatility =/= risk

The riskiness of an investment is not measured by beta (a Wall Street term encompassing volatility and often used in measuring risk) but rather by the probability -- the reasoned probability -- of that investment causing its owner a loss of purchasing power over his contemplated holding period. Assets can fluctuate greatly in price and not be risky as long as they are reasonably certain to deliver increased purchasing power over their holding period. And... a nonfluctuating asset can be laden with risk.

sold JTINTER..

sometimes i think should adopt average UP strategy instead ADVERAGING DOWN.

I SOLD PIE.. as i bought at RM 4.00 for dividends and last few months keep moving up.
Finally, i sold some at RM 8.00... and today it went up another RM 0.60.. dunno why.

Now wondering, to continue selling to take profit.. or buy in anticipation of upswing?
almost DOUBLE up in few months

Well,the dividend is actually quite good more than 7% for past 3 years.

There are 1 Malaysia book voucher and usually in school they all use Casio calculaters which actually contributes to about 20% of their profit.

Cash rich company, most of the shareholders holding majority share ( more than 80%).

Casio brand has been going on for a long time, I would consider it a strong brand. This company Low PE and good ROE & NPM.

I believe it would go up to 0.30 in the near future.

Just what I feel.

Rather you try predict next years dividend, try to see if the dividend is sustainable first?

Buying a supposedly high dividend company without checking the sustainability and where they get the money for future dividend payment is playing a very high risk game. wink.gif
