Ive tried this method once with my old keyboard and let it dried for 2 weeks and more.It turns out some keys couldnt be use after that.(like H and G),i guess it might not dried up enough.

Hmm I kinda want to do this to my keyboard too. The keys are getting kinda dusty..I'm afraid though. Replacing my Edge will cost a lot if I screw it up..

it says water proof but actually its not totally water proof.. water pressure will be great enough to go into every part of your keyboard... yeah... you can wash it like ianho did..

i think it won't work with all keyboards and it also depends a lot on how dry you get after the wash. The apple keyboard shown seems to be well build for water resistance. When keys are plugged in, it looks like no gap for water to go into the internal case. All the opening also looks nicely sealed.
I can't say the same for some cheap rm20 keyboard. To wash those or others like logitech or microsoft, maybe need to unscrew the keyboard for drying the internal parts after wash. I have not done this, maybe will try the next time. I just had mine washed like 2 months back where I take out the keys one by one...really tiring. |

The Apple kb is not waterproof. The crystal back is perfect for seeing where the water goes n the water went inside every nook n cranny. It goes inside n under every single key too. While washing it, u can see the back of the kb crystal part, it's like an aquarium. All mechanical kb shud be just fine. I wudn wanna dunk my G15 though. The water will take too long to dry out as it will get inside the LCD n everything. So, use this method for most normal kb but dont go dunking electronic kb like G15, diNovo Edge n the likes.I can't say the same for some cheap rm20 keyboard.
