QUOTE(hye @ Jan 1 2008, 11:41 PM) As far as I know, exchange rate for the cards is determined by VISA/Mastercard International and then the banks add a little for administrative fees. (Some openly say they impose but most of them do not say it upfront) I suggest you hunt for online coupons to get a better deal online coupons? |

Hey guyz, I got my Shell citibank credit card. I heard the 5% rebate is bullshit and it only applicable for the 1st month only. Iszit true ar? Citibank really sux if they did that to consumer, really irresponsible and cheating.
Right now I have 2 CC, other than Shell Citibank, I have Maybank CC but will terminate it soon bcoz want to boycott them already. I'm thinking of holding 2 cards and currently applying for HSBC CC and is there any other card to recommend? |

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 13 2008, 04:58 PM) In term of privileges and merchants affiliation, Citibank and HSBC are the best. You're looking for gold card? Yeap. So u recommend CITIBANK and HSBC....emm, but then r u talking about having CITIBANK normal CC rather than Shell Citibank Card. I have it and I will give it a try for few months and see whether the rebate works for me or not. |

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jan 13 2008, 05:01 PM) what's so good about DA ar???alway debate about DA card. Not sien ar?QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jan 13 2008, 05:04 PM) then get a Citibank choice card lol.... http://smartconsumerbanking.com/ got info about Shell Citibank. QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 13 2008, 05:05 PM) I think Clear card is better. The design is semi-transparent and it's quite similar to CIMB DA. Emmm....the reason I get Citibank bcoz I got advantage in petrol rebate saving. The reason I don't want Citibank is hard to make payment. The reason I want to cancel off my HSBC is because they're relocating their Bayan Baru branch. The reason I applied for CIMB DA is free for life without condition. The reason I'm still holding my MBB Visa is because I got an attached 0% EPP and it's easier to make payment using M2U. the reason I get HSBC bcoz they open new brance nearby my location. the reason I got MBB Visa bcoz a len lui approached me and promoted it to me. I can't resist ... |

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Apr 27 2008, 09:39 PM) it's normal. should I call them up??or wait for them to call me???I don't want to pay for the annual fee la....platinum seriously too expensive for me... im also get the gold card after been using for 10 months which im hardly using beside every month pay 3 bills. at 1st, i din bother about it, just put it aside, did not call for activation. but soon, i received a call from Citibank staff, and she/he will asking whether u received ur new upgraded card, and will persue you to activate the new card. tht time was near CNY, i saja said i need to use my card to pay my bills online, and dun wan to susah-payah to re-create a new online account again. so she said will call back after CNY 1 week later. and she called back. and she keep pushing me to activate the card. since she said so good n so much of benefits, im eventually activate the new upgraded card. so see how u playing around with the citibank staff. see whether u can defeat them o not, if you got the time to play around. haha. |

QUOTE(hye @ May 1 2008, 10:34 PM) Generally whichever tactic you use, it'll work if the bank feels that you have been spending actively or a huge spender but more importantly being able to post payments promptly and to use your credit limit wisely. I don't have problem with it but then why did MBB charge me annual fee and when I asked for annual fee to be waived, they said they will credit back to me on the next month statement. That time was January and until this month statement, I don't see any amount credit into my statement. they bluff me ar???how to sue them ar?can ar? |

QUOTE(hye @ May 1 2008, 11:46 PM) Try to make another follow-up on the matter. They probably did not process your annual fee waiver - if still no answer just terminate your card. Maybe that'll attract their attention and maybe it'll not. Emmm...I'm planning to cancel MBB card already. Doesn't sound like support them anymore after Bank Union asked public to boycott them... Just don't get upset and just apply another card before canceling MBB's. I can tell ya that service level fluctuates in a bank - some days they are good and some days they are not. This applies to both local and international banks. Remember the credit card market is competitive these days - you don't have to worry about getting another credit card if you are not happy with your current one. QUOTE(David83 @ May 2 2008, 12:14 AM) But my experience on reversing the annual fee with HSBC is being taken care fast; I think within one week from the date it was charged. Emmm......then when do u think I shall call??My annual fee date is on this coming July...can call now ar??Hey yo guyz, which card design do you think is the coolest????I'm just asking... |
