M to M is what we generally use. Let's take PS3 for eg. the cable we use to connect from PS3 to TV has M to M, so the connectors on PS3 and TV are F's. Normally people use F on a cable as a form of extension, but I've never seen DVI (F) to HDMI (F) for sale.
