yeah.. using lower brokerage, we can lock in profit faster.

So, sogotrade is my choice now. just2trade is even cheaper (USD 2.5), but there will be no margin, and no option. Sogo got options.

Just opened account with Just2Trade. The process is fast, just like SOGO.

Sogo sucks, been 7 working days, still saying account under processing. MB was fast. Zecco also fast. Think or Swim also fast but Zecco n THink - I didnt follow up with them. High price.

Just2Trade platform looks nice, quite the same with MBTrading but JavaBased. means I can trade via Browser. Yay.

Will update you all my experience with J2T.

P/S Ozak - I wired international using Maybeng few times, it is still RM25 plus some other charges. Transaction over the counter.

Yours should be online?

Zaman, people keep looking for lower brokerage fee. Hope your J2T experience is good, then we can open one too, to save more.

As long as we can trade reasonably, money won't lost, then should be fine. smile.gif

This is what I found from firstrade: (US$2.5)

What is the minimum balance for a Just2Trade account?
A minimum $2,500 in total account equity must be maintained in your Just2Trade account.

I think no chat system available. Do you need to mail the W8-BEN form?

Sogotrade should be able to accept scanned copy, from what I chatted with them.

If Just2trade allows check withdrawal, it saves more than Sogo, which only allows US$50 outgoing wire for foreigners.

But don't forget, Sogotrade offers first month free (100 trades), this will beat just2trade in short term. smile.gif

Stocks rallied Wednesday morning, with the Dow industrials flirting with the 10,000 level for the first time in a year, following better-than-expected quarterly profit reports from Intel and JPMorgan Chase.

The last time the Dow crossed 10,000 during a trading session was Oct. 7, 2008, when it briefly touched 10,124.03

Will it be safe to buy C now? smile.gif

Have you banked in at least USD2500?
This is the minimum to open an account.

I think at this point, we all can make a conclusion that Sogotrade is the best!
at least it gives you a month free trade.

If I want to play, I will use Sogo.. All the time..

Added on October 16, 2009, 9:02 pmBelieve me..
C will drop until < RM4.

Of course I already put in cash. Please revert to my posting.

I think you all better stick with SOGO rather than J2trade ... sux

What is your basis for CITI to go under 4?
*
Rumours were overcome by bad news.
losses are still losses.. people can't expect C to go USD 8, so they will throw it instead of waiting another half year..
I think C will have at least another one week down.

Even BAC has losses. US economy is not good.

These few days I tried to study on FOREX trading, which I discovered that is a lot risky than stock trading. At first I thought it is a fast-earning way, where as later I found out that the forex broker is usually at the other side of investors. That means they usually play against the investor.

Just like casino.

What do you think about stock? For stock, we still can make analysis and trade rite? When the price down, we still have time to wait right?

That's y, I am happy that our government has blocked short selling for stock. If not, the broker will play against us.. wink.gif

Added on October 18, 2009, 11:02 pmPlaying on margin is something like gamble; if you play with cash, as long as you choose a stock that will not bankrupt, you still have chance to recover, may be a few years later.

But using margin, you may lose everything.

Yes I think forex brokers are not even regulated.
We had even tried to put the quote screens of the same currencies pairs from 2 different brokers side by side.
Guess what they are not the same......

If you are day trading on Forex the chance that you will lose money are very high.
But for a longer term trading I think it should be ok as at  some point the rate had to be synchronize.
*
yupe.. it is not a fair trading platform, somemore the broker might play the opposite bet against you.

That's why many people loss, just like casino.

For share trading, if you sell, you have to deliver the share..smile.gif

Added on October 18, 2009, 11:29 pmHere I have a question:

I checked the bank forex rate, the spread is a lot, like 5-10 cents.

Where as in Forex trading, spread is within +- 0.0003 cents.

Is it possible to use forex trading to save cost for wiring to US Stock broking account? we can save a lot! smile.gif

I just wired my fund to Sogotrade and am entitled for 100 free trades for a month.

I use maybank, they charged me RM 10.
Sogotrade side charged me USD21.

So plus conversion loss, I already lost about RM100.

Sogotrade only allows wire back at USD50/per wire. The incoming will charge back RM10 plus conversion rate again.

Ok. I have lost RM300 plus plus if I withdraw now..

Foreign trading so expensive.. smile.gif

But they gave me 100 free trades, then may be I can say these one month brokerage worth RM300++.

I will give a try. see how long I need to earn back RM300.

I think the resistant level for C has dropped to 4.50.

The share is trying to break the resistant level these two weeks.

If it fail, it will probably drop to next support level, may be at 3.90.
