At least a few days.. observing the historial graphs and see whether got bad news or not.
Then check its business, financial status. Once it falls to the dip, buy it. then set a target price to sell.

We still dunno when the rally will break, but beware of Dubai events, now nothing shown up yet, but eventually some companies might have bad news, make sure you never buy these stocks..

I think if MGM still big dip today, it will be worth to buy.. wink.gif enjoy...

MGM already breached 11, how low u think it will be? Back to 9? Looks like the unemployment data is fake, should be bad data. Oh well, see it tomorrow.

Major Indexes Close Mixed As Volume Goes South

Stocks opened higher Wednesday, then wandered indecisively en route to a so-so finish.

Indexes were mixed, and volume was lower across the board.

The Nasdaq led the major indexes with a 0.4% pop. The NYSE composite added 0.1%, while the S&P 500 was flat. The Dow slipped 0.2%.

Volume was down 3% on the Nasdaq and 9% on the NYSE.

Small caps led for a second day in a row as the S&P 600 jumped 1.1%. In the past couple of months, big caps have outpaced small caps.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq once again tested and then retreated from the 2200 level. That level is providing resistance.

News had a negative-to-neutral tint Wednesday as a private employment report showed slightly more job losses than expected for November.

The report, released before the market's open, failed to give any traction to the bears.

The government employment report for November is due Friday.

In the afternoon, the Federal Reserve released its beige book report. The Fed said conditions have "generally improved modestly" and added that "consumer spending strengthened since the last report."

Consumer spending has been a worry for the market. It could make or break the recovery.

The indexes didn't offer much of a reaction to the beige book news.

Action was mostly quiet among top-rated stocks. Two that made nice gains in fast trade were China Automotive Systems (CAAS) and Latin American online retailer MercadoLibre (MELI). They gained 2% and 4%, respectively.

On the downside, Rino International (RINO) gapped down, shedding 8% in huge trade. The China-based maker of environmental equipment had extended itself as much as 200% above its 200-day moving average in intraday trading Monday.

Even the best stocks have trouble sustaining gains when they get that far above the 200-day line.

Rino International is now 13% off its 52-week high.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) slid further below its 50-day line, as it carved off 1.15 to 60.89 in brisk trade. The single-cup brewer maker's stock made exceptional gains from March to October, but has since stumbled.

While Wednesday's action had its moments, it wasn't quite what an uptrend under pressure needs. Big-volume price gains that blow past resistance levels — and perhaps erase some distribution days — would be bullish signs.

I already seen the warning signs.. my US employer is saying no raise or bonus this year. No layoff yet but
times are tough, more calls will be routed to my call center - basically do more for less. vmad.gif

Yes, those big companies are squeezing more for profits. mad.gif

Anything can happen between now and tonight. Hopefully, the jobs numbers will be bad enough for shorts to get a few more points and longs to buy at lower level.

Good luck! nod.gif

The "most" attractive deal is subjective. You'll get what u pay.

I use TD Ameritrade, I like it, not cheap but good enough for me 'coz of excellent tools and fast execution.

Scan back the previous posts esp from the beginning of this thread, you see this
question being asked many times, people here use diff brokers because of their needs.
Price may or may not be the deal breaker. Good luck.

Hard to say, its purely speculative: remember OIL? Then what happen?

GLD is most popular ETF, next is DGP. Or you can trade Diamond..

If you cannot afford the per share price, venture into SILVER ETFs.

Or Mining ETF from Vector.
