my mobo gila liau, need 1.4V to do 2.7GHz, HTT 1357MHz

thx, will update the BIOS and see...

dun know leh...to conserve power I set to 2.7GHz for daily use but at default Vcore it not stable...
maybe due to the 5X HTT

didn't try 3x and 4x, now busy BT, will update BIOS later

as u said, the edge feel higher...just lap the side more.
the AMD stepping/wording still can see!

not comparing as b4 I used Germin II, after lapping changed to WC liau.

Just lapped the edge more with 1000 grid sand paper.

I lap cause wanna make sure the proc surface is flat, to me I feel that even lap till mirror-like the results not much different.

If hand can't feel then use yr tongue as temp probe, sure can detect the temp one , haha, just kidding...
btw, 5000+ BE temp

defult @2.6g
idle: 45~47c
load: 52~c

the idle and full load temp only diff by 5 to 7C?
if correct yr cooler must be good

My Crucial 667 512x2 + Micron 800 512x2 can run in 2G (4x512MB) @1200MHz, 5-5-5-5-11.

1. Turn Off PSU power.
2. plug DDR into RAM slot
3. Turn On PSU power
4. Press CPU power switch
5. Waiting for beep...beep...sound

No lah, the DDR sticks and mobo also important.
Maybe I am lucky, got the good DDR sticks and good mobos, so far tested on DFI and previous Abit AN9 32X, both can go 1200MHz+ too.
No secret, just plug in RAM, set to 2T, pump Vcore (now DDR@1000MHz just need 2.1V for 4 sticks) and it just boot!
Latest only fine tune to lower timing ....

If >1100MHz I will pump in >2.3Vdimm.

My 2x512 Micron DDR800 also using micron D9GKX
Crucial one can't recall but not micron D9GKX, D9xxx something, me feel D9GKX slightly better
