QUOTE(E-Punk LockHeart @ Dec 24 2007, 05:46 PM) hmm...i've read this somewhere a long time ago. The ori dualshock has a pressure sensitive mechanism. The best way to detect it is by playing a racing game. Push the accelerate button softly and the car should move at a slow rate and vise versa. yup,i agree with u.u can test ur DS2 original or fake by playing game that required "pressure sensitive" mechanism. just like Need 4 Speed or another racing game.before buy,u can try ur DS2 at the shop by playing that type of game....

I think you mean to say PS2...please keep DS away from this legendary PS2. DS has no class with PS2 compared to graphics and gameplay.

1. Test the buttons, shoulder buttons, d-pads and r3 l3. You will know the difference if you have been using ori. 2. The colours green blue red and pink will not fade. 3. Look behind, an ori controller always made in china. This includes DS3 too.

QUOTE(marmite @ Dec 23 2007, 12:50 AM) fake one is actually 1)heavier then the original Actually, the original one is heavier. Also, the analog sticks on the original one has more tension than the fake ones. Wires on the original are much longer, and the buttons are more 'juicy' to press than the 'clacky' kind on the fake ones. And most importantly, all the buttons (with the exception of L3 and R3) are pressure sensitive, so test it out on racing games like GT4. And why is this 1 and a half year topic resurrected, anyway?

QUOTE(REDFlELD @ Jul 29 2009, 11:00 PM) Hi ppl.. I got a DS3.. not sure it's ori or not coz the quality abit poorer than my DS2 ori.. the rubber mechanism on my DS3 is a bit harder than my DS2 so I'm abit worried I got the fake one. Appreciate it if anyone here can help. There is no such thing as a fake Sixaxis/Dual Shock 3.... unless there's a nice long wire sticking out of it. Wireless/motion sensor controls are probably too costly/complicated to pirate effectively.
