guys..I'm scared here.. my pc hor..when i use it, sometimes the monitor went black, and the lcd led indicator turned orange. but somehow, the pc is still on, not hang at all. I can still shut it down using the power button.
is this problem gc problem or monitor prob?
I'm gonna post this in the technical support too. posting here just to see if anyone is having the same problem as I am.
Peace.
EDIT: btw, my monitor is Genesys LCD 17", non-DVI. am using the converter. changed converter but still the same prob. changed dvi port also got prob.

yes, I plugged and unplugged the cable, pulas the thing at the back ketat2. there's no way the wire is still longgar.
plus, even if i try to replug it after the monitor went blank, it is still blank, with the orange led.
don't see that the cable longgar issue is the problem.

nope, never oced it myself, but it is factory overclocked. wanna see if any same gc users have same problem as mine..
nope, no driver or whatsoever error. it just went blank without warning, but the pc is still usable, meaning I can still hear the sound when shutting down windows. if it is oc problem, shouldn't the pc just crash?

now the blank lcd didnt occured anymore but im getting a black screen crash. Crysis plays fine, WoW also fine today. Tested NFS Most Wanted it crashes after some time. I don't think its the overclocking is the problem right? coz even crysis also no problem. is it compatibility issue? the game not compatible with the gc? hmm...

I applied arctic silver 5 to my baby. Have to wait for 8 full days for it to show its real temp. checked after applying it was 51C idle. hopefully will get a great decrease on it..

try lowering the setting abit. see how it perform. seemed like the same problem I am having with Need For Speed Most Wanted. I can't fix the NFS prob, I'm able to get WoW work fine (before it crashed the pc in less than 10secs).
also just to confirm, what is ur PSU?

hmm so far I read few testi n reviews, max safe memory clock is 2000mhz only. if u keep it going at >2000 soon artifacts will start to show up permanently. I forgot where I read it but I really did. For your own good I suggest stay on 2000mhz.
cheers.

QUOTE(craxors @ Jan 17 2008, 12:40 PM) others game are fine..NFS-PS can play with full high setting + AA..even if i try to set highest setting in crysis still can play without crash..but of cos lag like H**L.. is there any conflict with my PSU since i'm using not true power one...? well, what PSU are you using? there's always true power to a PSU. just a matter of if the displayed Watt is the real or the peak one.

hmm...dunno. could be. izit 600W true power or peak power? if its true power i think it would be enough. or just maybe game incompatibility as of what I'm having with NFSMW.

QUOTE(hongwai @ Jan 17 2008, 06:13 PM) hi, would like to ask: Gigabyte 8800GT Turboforce (Zalman VF700AlCu), what clock speed is it running at, as indicated by RivaTuner. (GPU/Shader/Memory) 700mhz core 1700mhz shader 1900mhz memory. as indicated by rivatuner. @craxors pray that it is.. so far only NFSMW crashed on my system. (before that WoW but after changed the 24bit setting the game ran well) This post has been edited by alexandros_18th: Jan 17 2008, 08:59 PM

if ur PSU is branded one (literally means 450W TRUE Power) such as Silverstone, Gigabyte, OCZ then it is safe to stick to the PSU. If you are using chapalang PSU which priced for <RM120, it is best to change. At least try to get Cooler Master True Power 450W.
