Cimb will be taking over Maybank as largest bank in the nation. I think it will be good opportunity for the chinese with good foundation in mandarin. Because what is demanding now is, the people who possessed the most demanding language will survive and strive.

The salary depends on your grade. For grade 35 (executive officer) minimum salary starts at RM2,900 with minimum increment of RM330 each year. Executive officer's salary is capped at RM8,500, if reach the amount the only increment you can get is if you get promoted. Meanwhile grade 36 (asst. manager) minimum starts at RM3,400 with minimum increment of RM380 annually. Asst. manager's salary is capped at RM11,500. But I have no idea about the salary for grade above 36.

CIMB gives 25 days AL, 30 + 60 days sick leave, 7d study leave, 10d marriage leave and full medical coverage in panel clinics/hospitals. I might be wrong but I think they don't fully cover medical expenses for officers holding manager positions and above.

Hi everyone,

I recently attended an iv with CIMB. The hiring manager contacted me directly and she gave me high hope that I will get the job. However, recently she told me that her boss doesnt like me as I hv no banking experience. My application is still in process (1month already now).

Say I got the job, should I think twice as the big boss doesnt like me cos of my experience. Should I accept it or not?

Wow so if the an officer does shity job still can get an increment of 330? If he starts at 2900 that means its a >10% Pay hike, and you mention its the minimum increment so you might be able to get more than that?

Yup that’s the minimum. If your performance is good you’ll get higher increment. If your work is shitty, you will still get minimum increment. But you will not receive bonus. And your boss will treat you badly until you resign yourself.
