I used to buy from Gadgetzone but nowadays I prefer to buy from Active Lansing 1-Stop Midlands (errr ........ not ActiveXtream, dun get mixed up) b'coz their prices are much better, service also not bad.

i aslo recommend pc depot coz the price are cheaper compared to other shop.. sometimes it is cheaper than lowyat 4 certain item..
but they are not very good in RMA and after service..plus 4 noob be careful coz they might sell recon item..i have experience that..luckily when i go back there they change it to new 1 back...
it's ur choice to choose which shop is the best..'your call' nod.gif

I had one bad experience with this shop. Called up, told me AS5 was in stock, confirmed, told them to reserved for me. Went there, said no stock and give lame reason, "someone" just bought it. Cicak kubin shop laugh.gif

All Penang Bro,

Please recommend some good and trustworth computer shop. I'm a noob here and would like to build a PC. Wana seek help here to recommend a shop that is reasonable priced and trustworthy.

Thanks!!!
*
I read and read again your question so many times, But I cant recommend any shop, but please try these location.

Island
1. Midland One Stop, Pulau Tikus: There's plenty PC shop there, try go and checkout. Bit pricey.
2. Bukit Jambul Complex: Upper floor, some PC shops. I've sometimes go there and only buy once at GZ there. Ermmmmm Not customer-friendly enough tongue.gif
3. Prangin Mall: Try to find PC shops at the Cyber Area, many times surveying but only bought Canon ink (Think Tank) there ONCE.
4. Sungai Dua, beside USM: Try here, usually there are some ready-made PC that are selling cheap (because it targeted to USM students)
5. Gurney Plaza: Wanna try a MAC here?
6. PC Depot - make a visit here as a last option.

Mainland
1. SS Computer, beside Pacific in same row with PC Depot: Popular spot for UiTM and Polytech students
2. another two more PC Shops at the same row here with SS and PCD, but forgot the names.
3. Behind Pacific, there lies Gadget Zone and another reputable Wholesaler, maybe now they open their ready made PC to walk in customer. BL@ST PC
4. Sunway Carnival Mall - Not so sure....
5. Chai Leng Park: There are some old school PC Shops here. try find out there.
6. PC Depot - make this as the last option

*me resides in Butterworth, so sorry. My coverage area only in Butterworth, Bayan Baru, Georgetown tongue.gif

for trusworthy.. hrm... Its hard to say.. Business is business and you should have some PC technical knowledge for not being conned by the dealer. maybe http://www.hardwarezone.com.my should be your reference for your price guide. Its normal for Penang price a bit RM20-30 higher than KL.

Now Penang And KL Price is not much diff. some of the hardware selling at Penang is cheaper than KL. If not believe , try to get the price list and compared it.
