mind to share what hotel website/booking engine is that?
is it stated that your  card will be charged at the time of booking, 3 days before arrival, or the card is used for guarantee only?
*
accorhotels.com

should be charged at the time of booking as it is a promotion rate

I also have the same thought. It suppose work like a normal credit card.
So far, i didn't encounter any problem using it on online, restaurant, supermarket and fashion shop.

Sorry maybe you misunderstood on my not accept.
Basically they accept my card and insert the card to terminal but there was no response and deny access.
Then i changes to PBB VS, straight successful transaction within few seconds.

Just to share my experience using the Bigpay card in Korea:

The FX rate for transactions were consistently lower than foreign exchange counter rate in Malaysia, as well as on XE.com's daily conversion rate.

All my transactions were successfully processed at merchants' terminals, except just for 1 transaction that it was unsuccessful.

it is depend the system using which system to process the transaction.

As this is a new card or no popular yet and some system might no include the card bin to accept it.
