as far as I know remote play is only available if the game has it supported, videos and music can run fine via the XMB via remote play.

Even on an SDTV it'll still feel amazing. Just don't stare too much at high def trailer and you won't know what to compare the SDTV image quality to.

DTS-HD Master Audio to be released in 2.30 Firmware Update.
the system software update will also add DTS-HD Master Audio output for Blu-ray videos, which means the high-definition visuals of Blu-ray will now be matched with the highest quality audio for the ultimate movie-watching experience on PS3. DTS-HD Master Audio is literally bit-for-bit identical to the studio master recording and makes movie soundtracks and sound effects truly come to life. The technology delivers audio at the incredibly high rate of 24.5 mega-bits per second (Mbps) on Blu-ray disc, which is significantly higher than standard DVDs. DTS-HD Master Audio also offers 7.1 audio channels at 96k sampling frequency/24 bit depths, so you'll be totally immersed in the sound. The firmware update will add DTS-HD High Resolution Audio as well, which is a similar output technology that requires less disc space. You can read more about both codecs here. source: The Playstation Blog This post has been edited by slickz: Apr 10 2008, 10:27 PM |

yeah the Dual Shock 3 is awesome, the small price u pay for slightly shorter battery life is balanced by the force feedback given. It feels "fuller" in your hand due to the weight, rather than the lighter sixaxis that made u feel like some sungai wang conman emptied your controller's insides when u weren't looking

I'm considering to buy my friend's warhawk region 4 BD (Australia). Thing is if we dont have a credit card I heard we can use entropay . Would it be easy to use entropay to buy warhawk addon from autralia PSN or better use Ambank's NexG card ?Can we use that for Aussie PSN ? Does it accept Master Card ?I know NexG can be used at Master Card accepted places.

QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ Apr 24 2008, 11:51 PM) yes but I found it to be unreliable. If the signal ur psp send got lost somewhere over the internets (request timed out) then ur ps3 still remains powered on. Actually I find it to be a little useless, since power supply is still connected to the ps3. The main reason I would turn off the ps3 is to avoid lightning strike during thunderstorm and powering down the ps3 is impossible using that way. Only goes to standby mode. |

A taste of things to come?
QUOTE Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has announced that it is integrating the YouTube API to allow developers to add video uploading to their titles. The first game to utilize the new feature is Mainichi Issho, a free Japanese PSN title that debuted in November 2006. As seen in the screenshot above, you will now be able to upload in-game video to YouTube for sharing from inside the game. No other title has been announced to use the YouTube API, either for a new title or updating an exiting game. Our dream?YouTube uploads with LittleBigPlanet. It seems like a no-brainer. joystiq.com |
