Ya.... they have pay it, some of them have a lot fun time with Xbox360 and Live, but that time when xbox360 start release, where is the PS3 or WII???? U only have 1 next generation console to get, if everyone know xbox360 got 3rod at early they release, who still wanna buy it, but now even some of them know it got 3rod, they still want to buy it, thats mean xbox360 still got something that worth to pay it.
But for me, i think Microsoft only want to earn money at first, they really dun care which console will be the king of console, anyway who dun want to earn big money first.

Its funny that people keep quoting "you basically only need to pay Rmxx a month/day" for Xbox Live.

Sure, a few bucks a month or sen a day doesnt hurt.. But when you're paying the whole sum in one go, that's a whole different feeling.

Because the thing is, not many of us play games online everyday. So as a person who is accustomed to free multiplayer online services, it feels kinda suck to realize that you're still paying for those days that you didn't play at all.

For Xbox 360-only users, well, that's your only route to go. For us with multiplatforms, PS3 online is more attractive at the moment. And honestly, I've subscribed to Xbox Live before. In terms of server connection and whatnot, its no better than what I'm experiencing with PS3 online.

Except for the inclusion of Voice Chat in every game.

sure, like the PSN doesnt give out demos.

But not all ppl will buy a console bcoz the console provide free online service and online game. Thats my point, u want it u gonna pay it.
Example like some country got provide Broadband service with 50MB package but only RM50 per month, but the broadband have a system that already block down the p2p and BT, so why we still need a big bandwidth? Surfing internet faster, download document faster or watching youtube more faster? I dint mean that PS3 dun have any good game for online multiplayer, but compare with Xbox360 Live, it really use to mean for online multiplayer, Gear of War and Halo series really worth it to pay for xbox live, unless u dun like these game.

No, what you said and meant was that Xbox Live is way better than PSN. In some ways, I agree but the main core of Xbox Live is online multiplayer gaming. If it has to charge such service just to let you play with other people online while you can do the same for free on other platforms, what makes it truly better? The games? Halo series and GeOW?

Granted, I loved the Halo series and GeOW was an excellent game but once people are tired of them, what next? Do we have to wait for another killer app before we can justify our money spent on Xbox Live subscription? If GeOW is so worth the money to spend on Xbox Live, why does the PC version offers free multiplayer gaming?

You see, the point is, even the developers want their games to be played for free by everyone. But the thing is, Microsoft decided to charge you for it by offering you something you could get for free. Your "u want it u gonna pay it" motto is basically proving my point. On other platforms, it doesnt matter if you want online gaming or not. It's always gonna be an open option and it's free for you to play since day 1!

And btw, PS3 games has dedicated servers also so even if somebody's internet connection is P2P-blocked, they can still play online just like Xbox Live.

Ok, u can refer my previous, i said that Microsoft really doesn't care who will be the king of console now, they just want to earn more money, they got their market n different tactic from other platform, only the customer decide pay or not pay for it. Will u said that:"wah, u so stupid lah, PS3 got free for online multiplay game, why still buy xbox360 which have to charge u for LIVE."????

well for those who are on a tight budget every ringgit counts. I'm sure there are at least some who considers that pay-to-play-online-multiplayer scheme as a negative factor when deciding which console to buy. This is just one of the factors you consider when purchasing a console. There are other factors but I don't feel like going into that now.

Oh, and for the record, I do not wish the 360 to lose badly to PS3. Let them both survive and compete with each other. We need good competition to keep them on their toes.

IIRC, phil harrison was kinda vague when it came to charges for Home.
at the moment it is free,but they could charge for it in time.

i'd rather they go 100% in home advertising then charge for Home.

Console tech-specs aside, what is cash-strap Sony compared to cash-rich-abudance Microsoft? Microsoft throws it weights on Xbox 360, buy game developers if they have too, make it cheap,loose money, no problem. Road shows and all. MS way, build an eco-system for other MS product to work with its console business - MSN Live,Vista,Windows Media Viewer etc.

Sony starts to copycat MS way, then the Japs might very soon see Sony sold the highest bidder, from a sushi eating staff to dimsum...some Chinese conglomerate like British car maker MG.

for non online oriented gamers pov, and for the piece of mind of stability, get PS3
