well i can say that,as time goes by..there are less few tips to be shared here wink.gif i remember 2-3 years ago , this forum when the exam is near, there are load huge of exam tips posted here..during that time i was in 2.1,2.2,etc..so there is lots of tips given here from around the college nod.gif nowdays, the lecturer would say that keep your tips by your ownself.. laugh.gif perhaps it could be the right way or otherwise..bcoz as i remember, last time around the tips are accurate..however if we dont know how to answer the question(but the tips are accurately spotted on the question)than it is no used..mostly on IAS's,(P2,F7) P3,,P4,P5,P6,F8,F9,F6,F4...which the tips described the topics related i.e. READ IAS 23,32,39...yet we dont know or confused how to calculate the AFS,HTM..still tips is no used..spotting on Porter value chain is no used if we fail to identify the primary activities in the case studies, or six sigma (even memorise the DMAIC) yet fail to apply it in the case studies, but for corporate law paper,P1 u can rely on the tips topics coz it is pure from the text..everything is in the text..however, F8 is very dangerous to rely on tips mostly on audit procedures..coz its all depend on the case..u cannot memorise audit procedures even when the tips are saying purchases or sales will come out but ur audit procedures is weak, then tips is no used..except on pure memory topics i.e. corporate governance, ethics, mgnt representation, letter of engagement, etc.. so, for this new 2nd sitting, we are still blur2 rclxub.gif on which topics or tips to be given out, coz new syllabus sitting is difficult to spot on,wait until 3,4 sitting we can get a clear view..that maybe in 2009 sitting blush.gif

whoa smile.gif i hope P2 will come out tough and challenging question..and tat way, would swing the marking scheme (less strict)and make that pass rate shoots up..it is too easy, than, marking will be focus, strict...it does happen to me when i was in 2.5 where the paper was tough and i didnt write any much answer ..and ready to re-sit..but turns out pass at 67%..compare to prior sitting which i found its too easy and answer the full complete answer yet got 32%..so i think maybe we dun know much, probably we pass or what..all i describe acca exam is..unexpected result..sometimes u feels bad, frustrated, concern to fail turns out the other way around..well hmm.gif

To those taking P2 this round, did u all study accounting framework? i've no confidence in this paper..
*
I study for the purpose of essay/theory,(p/s not exam tips) mad.gif

Ethics
IFRS harmonisation
SME
Ratios
ED,IFRIC,Disclosure
Environmental, CSR
Framework- responsibilities,Role of IASB (Standard setter)

this is a small areas not a major threat, which could be significant in answering the P2 questions..

So, what u have wrote for risk framework ??

I can't completely wrong la rclxub.gif
*
most of it are in the BPP text book..if im not mistaken..i was told by mr. johnson last sitting (during my sitting) he told me to focus on BPP textbook..coz much of the question are based on it..and i dumped my kaplan..tis examiner is an academician..a university lecturer,so his question based on text book reading..which can be found in the book itself..

tough to call..THE paper is so predictable tis time around.. yet maybe difficult in term of explanation..then there is % can pass one!! tongue.gif however, it seems the question is just basic really basic..so i might be wrong hmm.gif
Tis sitting P2 lots of Explanation type of questions...u have to be good to applied IAS...IFRS 8 came out,yet dun know how to apply the 10% rule..
anyway,as i browse thru, every question NEED EXPLANATION,WRITING..i know tis paper bout discussion etc..but today was totally explanation..no room of 1 question being fair of calculation..Question 4 read the requirement i pass already dun know at all the IFRS theory..coz i remember same question in FTC text..and answer show US GAAP,UK GAAP, IAS and how those transfer to IFRS.. blink.gif I AM AFRAID NEXT SITTING IS TOTALLY NEW SYLLABUS REVISED ON P2 So,can forget all now..learn new thing(although not all revised)mostly on Group,IFRS 3 cry.gif cry.gif

guess im the 1st one to give feedback on P3..Here goes. The exam is ok la..there is opportunity to pass..the exam question is clear..i able to get marks on each part of the question, just not enough time..value chain is what i guess came out and it did..plus quality issues quite good lor..and that is what i gonna write if i able or were to pass last sitting P3..and tis my 2nd round and my feedback goes WHAT IS GOIN ON WITH P3??? mad.gif where has all the ease of passing p3 went to today?? cry.gif why it is difficult this round...each question gone case already..And i lose lots of marks in this paper..i waffle..waffle..waffle..question 1 is using model or models..i wasted much time here, thinking which model since competitive is related to 5 forces.. vmad.gif and the best part is section B...LONG CASE..QUESTION REQUIREMENT IS Shot..but the marketing media i know it 6i...

the marketing mix is of course mcCarthy 4P's or and Booms Bitner 3P's =7P which is the second requirement of the question, but the 1st is refer to media e-marketing, mentioned by Mcdonell and Wilson 6I's..its in the syllabus guide under emarketing. rolleyes.gif and the change question second requirement refers to the Balogun and hope hailey model i.e. big bang,tranformation...
