Does taking a lot of sugars give you diabetes?

It doesn't.

Increased carbs and sugars might make you obese and THAT will give you an increased chance of getting diabetes ...but for those who work out /lead a very active lifestyle, taking a lot of carbs or sugars wont give you diabetes. Look at those indon construction site workers....

Stop believeing everything you read in the papers ( ESPECIALLY our papers ) ...google it !

I think it's because your taste buds will taste things differently especially when you have a fever. Same goes to Sprite and 7-UP. My mum used to ask me to drink Sprite when I caught a fever. But now, 100 Plus. icon_rolleyes.gif

There were more than couple of hot days in the past 2 months and it is more rejuvenating to drink 100Plus than just normal filtered water.

Yeah, also prefer ice lemonade. Those quenching drinks are really irresistible during hot days. thumbup.gif

I never drink carbonated stuff, the only canned drink I buy is coffee which is just as diabesity inducing as every other soda out there.

I find it difficult to believe a doctor would recommend the drink as treatment for dengue.. another case of the doc just pandering to the patient's insistence that the carbonated drink provides health benefits? What the hey, as long as the patient get some fluids in him, right?
