usually only gibsons/fender reissues etc are nitro finish/top coat.

when doing sweep picking, do you mute the strings that you've already picked?

i saw a video where the guy uses his right thumb to mute the strings after he played it..

yes, you have to mute them after you play or else it will sound like shit.
i use my palm when going up the strings and my left hand when going down smile.gif

thats another way to mute your strings laugh.gif
but you gotta remove it fast to continue riffing. i'd recommend practicing muting with your hand though biggrin.gif

Yeah... The hairband thingy is way cheaper, and easy to "install"...

Just that engaging/disengaging it would be a pain in the butt...

wooo...i just got SRV's reissued pride & joy collection on DVD from borders.
also got James' 'fresh as a daisy' videos compilation...basically my fav britpop band.

OMG...... The Mini KH-2 is tooooo tempting for me! I really feel like getting it as a traveling guitar......... but then I realize I don't travel at all........ sad.gif

just lift it off. it kinda has a hinge, like MAB's "official" string dampener
