when doing sweep picking, do you mute the strings that you've already picked?
i saw a video where the guy uses his right thumb to mute the strings after he played it.. |

yes, you have to mute them after you play or else it will sound like shit.
i use my palm when going up the strings and my left hand when going down  |

thats another way to mute your strings
 but you gotta remove it fast to continue riffing. i'd recommend practicing muting with your hand though  |

Yeah... The hairband thingy is way cheaper, and easy to "install"...

wooo...i just got SRV's reissued pride & joy collection on DVD from borders.
