yes, you have to mute them after you play or else it will sound like shit.
i use my palm when going up the strings and my left hand when going down

thats another way to mute your strings
but you gotta remove it fast to continue riffing. i'd recommend practicing muting with your hand though

just lift it off. it kinda has a hinge, like MAB's "official" string dampener

serpent ash blew everyone away

overall the gig was ok, if only the first 2 bands didnt take 12651457161 hours tuning their instruments ON STAGE and playing like 6 songs. they thought we wanted an encore

sadly serpent ash had to cut their songlist short

first band played for a total of 50 minutes, 2nd band played for 30minutes iirc and serpent ash were told to finish up in 15 minutes, 3 songs

but they played 4 songs total: at the gates of valhalla, heimdall, battle of midgard and trooper

...which sounded NOTHING like pull harder i must add
