I have PANASONIC aircon with ioniser, fan with plasma ioniser and SHARP air purifier but sickness still exist and spread ... don't work imo

Now got new product in market, which ionises food ... there's a booth at IKANO basement level (near IKEA)..... said to be able to get rid of chemicals and harmful elements in raw food eg. meat, fruits, vege, etc. Got pics to show and demonstration too. Very yucky.

Even got booth at IKANO/Curve bridge that produces O2 in water, etc..

Got MEDKLINN product which patented to kill/dispel virus/dust/allergen ..... cost RM600+.

So so many ...... any testimonies that they work or not? shocking.gif

When u fall sick altho with all these ion stuff, i can only think of 2 reasons.
1) the ions are not powerful enough to deter the sickness
2) the sickness itself cannot be prevented even if ion levels are high.
(Just cos it helps in immune systems and makes u healthier, doesn't mean you can't fall sick. get what i'm saying?)

I'm using medklin too, I feel the air in my room is lighter, not so heavy life before, dunno how else to describe this.

Also, I think it increased my alertness too.

So unless you live near greenery with big open windows, you know what to do.

Are you selling this product now?

Wah! so many Medklinn kaki here. I am also one la.
I got home and car units.

Ioniser or ozoniser is not everything to keep you from falling ill.
If using all these products can prevent you from falling sick then you will be able to live beyond 100 years. LOL

I just bought one of this Ioniser / Purifier at home.

In regards to cleaning the filters and replace the filters?

The air feels a bit better than usual (is it a placebo effect?), it's kinda costly as well, how much electricity it consumes per month?

Cheers

If you wanna know whether it works, try this

1. Light up a cigarette and pollute the room. Come back in about an hour time and check if you still smell it.
If you do, throw away the ionzer.

2. Place your stinking training glove on the ionizer for a couple of hours. If it still stinks, throw away your ionizer.

Medklinn is maintenance free. Those with filters are good when they are new.
Performance declines as they aged. This is what I was told.
That's why I ended up buying Medklinn.

Mine is from Sharp and it is freakishly huge, like those desk fans.

I have used it for 2 days, I think I am getting better sleep as I do have dreams more often for the past few days (albeit they were more nightmares than beautiful dreams.....LOL)

Do you use it in an enclosed area or like a living room? Air con goes well with this?

Cheers

If it is an ionizer it is best used in an enclosed area.
It can't ionize an open area. It has to be concentrated.
It is fine using in an air cond room.

Folks,

Ionizer works by generating ION and use static electricity to get the dust settled. In Malaysia, due to high humidity, it does not work in most places except enclosed location with air-con on 24/7. So, I failed to see how can you have a ionizer and humidifier working together??

I've been using it for almost one week, I'll like to say it does help with my sinus problem and my eyes. (Although, I never seem to have this problem back in Aussie)

Good thing is that is almost silent therefore it does not interfere with my sleeping.

Hi dreamer,

I'm a noob in this air purifier thingy, apperciate ur inputs.

I need a humidfier due to i feel very dry sleeping in air con room. Thus would like a humidfier to ease dry skin, dry throat

Regarding air purifier/ionizer, just want to have a better air quality and gems/bacteria free when sleeping.

If they dont work together, then i need to reconsider as there's a few models that have both air purifier/humidfier function together.

Medkilnn is maintenance free. Medklinn brings the dust particles down. You have to sweep or vacuum the dust manually.

Hmm I'm also wondering the same thing. I was just about to purchse this unit today (new Sharp Humidifier+Purifier... RM1299 smallest model at Best and Harvey) What do you guys think... do you think it is worth buying one with humidifier in malaysia? Humidity is important to prevent skin dryness leading to aging... but this might be more relevant in japan (where this thing is popular) rather than here.

And as pointed out by dreamer101 ... the humidity may interfere with the ionizing function.

Any comments from 'experts'?

Also anyone knows where it is cheap to buy this in Klang Valley? Or is this question forbidden here? tongue.gif (sorry noobie here)

bought it and used it for ~ 3 week already, not recommended to be honest. the humidfier is crap, the water level does not change much, regretted buying it.

i think it's better to buy a separate humidfier if u need one.

and the air purifier is not as strong compared to diamond and york

I've also seen some Air Coolers that have Ionizers or something. I was thinking of getting that since I just have to fill in water to make the wind cooling. better than utilizing an aircond.

But, my dad has contemplated that it does not work strongly compared to an aircond. So, i'm abit confused right now.

There's so many brand in the market right some "CLAIM" or "MAY" do ionizer or air purify this and that .. and sometimes misleading advertisement can make a person come up with a funny conclusion. Do some research before buying any air purifier.

But i do reckon that air purifier helps you a lot. I have Extremely sensitive nose and just a simple small air purifier could help you in a way or two but no matter what brand air purifier you need to clean it's filter once a while. I've used an AMWAY air purifier and SHARP air purifier and both are EXTREMELY good brand but so many brands i've seen so far i love AMWAY's the most cuz the HEPA filter is THICK !!! it's extremely THICK, while the sensor I've did my research somewhere AMWAY and SHARP share the same tech. But in the end i've bought SHARP but with constant cleaning while AMWAY was a LOAN unit .. tongue.gif

Aircond don't have the filter like what air purifier have. All they have is just the black netting to filter the dust and it won't 100% filter the dust. And air cond just "conditions" the air to your need ... Not like air purifier it cleans your air (even if you fart a distance away it stills can detect).

I was at first looking at an environmentally friendly solution towards the air cond, so I thought the Air Cooler would be great as it cools the air with water and then purifies the air, as it advertises.

Btw, how much is the Sharp purifier? I only remembered the Air Cooler, that was merely 400 at Harvey Norman. And cheaper at HSL.

I'm not too sure about gintell

Sharp if you can afford the larger air purifier from sharp that is a much better choice the model you mention is pretty small and it's pref. for small rooms and I wouldn't say not suitable for 2-3 people....

Panasonic .. i'm not too sure about this. I also didn't know they make one also hehehe ...

My advice. Goto gintell, or any electronic shop. OPEN and feel the Filter. Check is the HEPA filter thick or not. I remember OSIM air purifiers Filter is THIN like tissue paper. Can see thru ...... rclxub.gif

wah thanks man..

so its either;

Bigger Sharp

or

Panasonic

i think the Panasonic and the sharp is 999. The Sharp with de-Humidifier is 1199.
But I heard the de-humidifier is rubbish. Need to turn on 24/7 to get the de-humidifier effect.

Sharp with de-humidifier

The built quality also not good. Plastic more like toys...

Im just bought Sharp after sold off medklinn..
I do recommend Sharp since its ionizer is better than others. Sharp has own exclusive Plasmacluster which included + and - ion.. I cant stay with the negative ion smell from medklinn.. somemore medklinn used to be on 24 hours a day to produce its effect to kill bacteria.. I like those with fans which can actively filter out the dirt..

I agree with you.

I've just bought the 'bigger Sharp' recommended by MSA.

It is just awesome.

1. I put it in my bedroom and everytime my wife cooking at the kitchen, it will turn on the clean and ion mode automatically. im quite suprise coz i dont even know she is cooking and i cant smell anything.

2. Im not a morning person. but with this thing, waking up in the morning makes me feel happy and motivated. especially after 1 hour queue at the gas station that night cry.gif

fyi, the model is FUS51ER

cheers

i had once tot of buying sharp purifier, but then i saw their aircond also has a built in purifier plasmacluster..so, since the big purifier standalone one is expensive, might as well (i think, for those who'd want to buy sharp's plasmacluster) buy the aircond unit, which is also servicable i think.. i settled with panasonic inverter air cond with e-ion. at nite its quiet, i use dehumidify mode so that its not too cold, but it has patrol sensor (to see if the air is dirty) and will cllean air/release e ion even if on dehumdifyingmode.. and really is very pwr saving.. and the room smells really clean also.. smile.gif.. im quite satisfied with it

Hey there

Glad you've liked it. I've been using this for quite sometime already and never regreted a little bit. Make sure you at least clean it everyweek / everymonth. You'd be surprised that how much dust that we are breathing in everyday .... sweat.gif

Yes certain aircond are built with these function but honestly they do not perform to the full potential. I'd also have the Panasonic aircond with the extra little stuff but it doesn't really 100% potential to it. And usually air purifier have HEPA filter which aircond usually don't have. So It's always best to have both.

But if you have sinus / breathing problem. Just get an airpurifier with a FAN should do. If not just get an aircond. If you have budget just buy both ..heheh .... thumbup.gif

i agree with u MSA. i dont have any sinus problem, but that aircond really sux. im not sure about LG aircond (i heard good feedback) but imagine that the standalone purifier uses really low power consumption compare to aircond. after some calculation, i've just turn on the purifier 24/7 haha.

towels and bedsheet in the room also have no smell anymore. i think i dont have to wash them every week anymore (i actually hate laundry job) tongue.gif

next, i plan to buy another one for the living room smile.gif

Hi alfian2,

How much you pay for the FUS51ER? I checked Sharp website, there is only FUS51E model, but no FUS51ER. What is the different between with and without R?

well i'm a medklinn user as well. have been using it for 1year. so far so good. Especially good if you have sinus problem. Since using it i've not aahh--chooo in the morning as frequent as i did b4 using the unit. Best of all i think compared with the other in the market coz it's small and effective without any maintainence. But i think their mobile is lacking not that powerful in m opinion.

The mobile unit is more powerful than the home unit simply because the pollution on the road is much greater.

all tis air purifer can filter many type of things in the air and medklinn only release ion to counter certain type of things.

So you cant compare medlkin and tis other expensive air filter because they do different job.

Hey guys,

I am reading alot people using aircon...I notice i started to get nose problem right after i start to work in aircond room.

From my understanding, the aircond is very dry n very low quality of air. it dry up our nasal(as the specialist doctor claimed).

This come in with the ionizer...it remove the dust...but still it is very dry.

Even got booth at IKANO/Curve bridge that produces O2 in water, etc..

Got MEDKLINN product which patented to kill/dispel virus/dust/allergen ..... cost RM600+.

Maybe your sickness was caught outside your home. The Ionisers- Air-filters, depending on their effectiveness, only help clean dust or/and kill viruses inside your room, not prevent you from catching viruses outside your home.

Medklinn also an Ioniser. Maybe more concentrated than most, but still just like other Ionisers. If you don't clean the dust that settless in your room (espc around the unit) regularly, it might blacken the surrounding area. So it's not exactly maintenance free.

Ioniser with filters are easier to maintain because the filters help trap the dust as they ionise and you mostly need to clean the filters.

Sharp Plasma cluster with dehumidifier are not like other Ionisers/Air-purifier. They use patented technology which releases Ions in Clusters and together with water molecules they trap the Viruses and kills them.

Other Air Purifier kills the virus near or around the Purifier unit. But Sharp Units shoots these Plasmaclusters around the room and sort of 'seek' and kill the viruses around the room.

well just a reminder, ionizer will produce a by-product...can check it out at google. ask when shopping for a air purifier, most important thing is to check the clean air delivery rate and not how much air it can intake. as for plasma cluster if not mistaken it is using plasma to ionized water correct? cant remember well about it already.

anyway there is this technology which ionized water particles and spray it to the air, then it will attract the containminents and particles in the air into the water. But one thing about this technology is that what will happen to the contaiminents and particle when the water droplets dry out? well i think you can figure it out ^^

hi mates,got a simple question.
recently we bought a super8 ioniser which model name is (super plasma).according to the information provided, this machine can produce electron ranging from 750 ft-790ft.but my room area is only around 100+- ft,my question is,will the excess electron give side effects since the room is 7times smaller than the room space recommended..
also, there was a setting named 0-ions,what will be the different if i set it to low, medium or high?according to my situation, what kind of setting should be set?
thanks for replying

What ionizer does is ionise the air, so dust tend to stick onto surfaces instead of flowing in the air, so less chance you will inhale them. Ever wonder why in most cars dust tend to stick onto the dashboards evenly? Most car aircondition comes with ionizer.

Air purifier just remove the dust from air, so it improves air quality, by how much depends on the capacity and location mounted.

They don't really kill germs or virus.

Some info for Negative Ion:

:: Ion Generator generates negative ion, that helps to relieve stress & fatigue, effectively improve diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular and cancers.

:: Negative Ion is a vital element in our respiratory system. It helps in enhancing metabolism and increasing body immune system.

:: Neutralize positive ion, active oxygen, Benzene, Radon, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and others poison gases in the office.

:: If our body lack of negative ion, it causes headache, giddy, fatigue, constipation, lack of concentration, insomnia and reductive leukocyte.

ARE NEGATIVE IONS OF BENEFIT TO YOU?

Quite a bit of research has gone into this topic. Research ranges from the pseudo-scientific to the reputable. A list of some papers from the latter group is given here. In summary, there is no evidence that negative ions have any effect on well being however it is defined. The claims by commercial producers of negative ion generators that their products enhance efficiency, increase productivity and contribute to personal health are unsupported by scientific evidence. However, if you think something is going to do you good then it may in fact do so; this is the placebo effect. And a bit of research in the 1990's is going into it. But that is another story.

i bought super life few months ago, good products, can clean it ourself, maintenance free.
it produce ozonne to kill bacteria/virus, eliminate unpleasant smell, reduce my sinus.
the ion negative also provided to reduce radiation, give us fresh oxygen and can operate 24 hours. after using it, my family reduce to c doctor. it cheaper than medklinn one, only rm388/=
i found it at www.super8.com.my

hi mates,got a simple question.
recently we bought a super8 ioniser which model name is (super plasma).according to the information provided, this machine can produce electron ranging from 750 ft-790ft.but my room area is only around 100+- ft,my question is,will the excess electron give side effects since the room is 7times smaller than the room space recommended..
also, there was a setting named 0-ions,what will be the different if i set it to low, medium or high?according to my situation, what kind of setting should be set?
thanks for replying

How long u bought the super8? i bought super8 for room and car at rm388 last 2 year. car i still using. consider OK.
but the room i send repair many times within the warantty period.

and now is rosak..never think to bring it to repair.

it just produce the ion but did not filter any dust and bacteria..as u can see no filter,no HEPA
yes, u can clean yourself but the quality is very bad...the steel is 'karat' after u used sometimes.

i m waitng my AAF 400A now. tongue.gif

Hi all,
This is my recommend to who want to buy with Humidifying function. please make sure whether your house or your area air is really dry and need humidifying function. otherwise buy without Humidifying function is better. because i found that the model without Humidifying function can cover larger floor area. i'm using Sharp been 1 year, so far so good and very impress the air pollution sensor will indicate the level of air pollution and auto adjust the fan speed to low, med, high to match the environment. mean when indoor air is in good condition it will work silent(fan speed low). my house is at hill site, so the humidity level sensor always showing at high. I actually not require the Humidifying function.

Cheers
