There's so many brand in the market right some "CLAIM" or "MAY" do ionizer or air purify this and that .. and sometimes misleading advertisement can make a person come up with a funny conclusion. Do some research before buying any air purifier.

But i do reckon that air purifier helps you a lot. I have Extremely sensitive nose and just a simple small air purifier could help you in a way or two but no matter what brand air purifier you need to clean it's filter once a while. I've used an AMWAY air purifier and SHARP air purifier and both are EXTREMELY good brand but so many brands i've seen so far i love AMWAY's the most cuz the HEPA filter is THICK !!! it's extremely THICK, while the sensor I've did my research somewhere AMWAY and SHARP share the same tech. But in the end i've bought SHARP but with constant cleaning while AMWAY was a LOAN unit .. tongue.gif

Aircond don't have the filter like what air purifier have. All they have is just the black netting to filter the dust and it won't 100% filter the dust. And air cond just "conditions" the air to your need ... Not like air purifier it cleans your air (even if you fart a distance away it stills can detect).

Thx for the detailed feedback. I'm a noob, my budget is +-1K, and i don't know which to choose;

Panasonic

or

Sharp

or

Gintell

My wife is pregnant right now, and I want the best for her and the my baby.

Thanks in advance.

wah thanks man..

so its either;

Bigger Sharp

or

Panasonic

i think the Panasonic and the sharp is 999. The Sharp with de-Humidifier is 1199.
But I heard the de-humidifier is rubbish. Need to turn on 24/7 to get the de-humidifier effect.

Sharp with de-humidifier

The built quality also not good. Plastic more like toys...

Im just bought Sharp after sold off medklinn..
I do recommend Sharp since its ionizer is better than others. Sharp has own exclusive Plasmacluster which included + and - ion.. I cant stay with the negative ion smell from medklinn.. somemore medklinn used to be on 24 hours a day to produce its effect to kill bacteria.. I like those with fans which can actively filter out the dirt..

I agree with you.

I've just bought the 'bigger Sharp' recommended by MSA.

It is just awesome.

1. I put it in my bedroom and everytime my wife cooking at the kitchen, it will turn on the clean and ion mode automatically. im quite suprise coz i dont even know she is cooking and i cant smell anything.

2. Im not a morning person. but with this thing, waking up in the morning makes me feel happy and motivated. especially after 1 hour queue at the gas station that night cry.gif

fyi, the model is FUS51ER

cheers

Hey there

Glad you've liked it. I've been using this for quite sometime already and never regreted a little bit. Make sure you at least clean it everyweek / everymonth. You'd be surprised that how much dust that we are breathing in everyday .... sweat.gif
Yes certain aircond are built with these function but honestly they do not perform to the full potential. I'd also have the Panasonic aircond with the extra little stuff but it doesn't really 100% potential to it. And usually air purifier have HEPA filter which aircond usually don't have. So It's always best to have both.

But if you have sinus / breathing problem. Just get an airpurifier with a FAN should do. If not just get an aircond. If you have budget just buy both ..heheh .... thumbup.gif

i agree with u MSA. i dont have any sinus problem, but that aircond really sux. im not sure about LG aircond (i heard good feedback) but imagine that the standalone purifier uses really low power consumption compare to aircond. after some calculation, i've just turn on the purifier 24/7 haha.

towels and bedsheet in the room also have no smell anymore. i think i dont have to wash them every week anymore (i actually hate laundry job) tongue.gif

next, i plan to buy another one for the living room smile.gif

Hi alfian2,

    How much you pay for the FUS51ER? I checked Sharp website, there is only FUS51E model, but no FUS51ER. What is the different between with and without R?

its the same actually biggrin.gif

I bought at Seng Heng coz they are clearing their stock this month. unfortunately, the black model is not available anymore.
