It's been hinted that R700 won't have that pesky AA hit any more, so I suppose they've reworked some of their flawed logic.
Also, R700 should have hardware/shader resolves (you should be able to select between them, aka box/tent/edge) so you get the best of both worlds. Hopefully this actually scales up to 1Ghz at some point, because with just voltmods the 3870 does it, and blazes. |
