i only on the steer assist or something. if not the car spin like crazy. lol...
havent tried using my wheel yet.

It's freaking hard to drift using Impreza. Yeah, really.

I have both DiRT and GRID (demo) install.
Got weird prob.
If play DiRT, need to set full sound hardware acceleration in dxdiag.
If play GRID, need to set no sound hardware acceleration in dxdiag.

If not either one can not launch.

Is it because I run both in XP SP3. I think Vista users have no prob.
Or because of demo. Maybe X-Fi soundcard


If set no sound hardware acceleration, will reduce sound quality or not?

Heh, I thought vista user no prob.
Just now, plan to buy new hd to install vista.
Nevermind, will buy also. Have to test games in Vista.

Maybe you got prob because using onboard audio - Realtek.
I read these in a forum.

Using keyboard also . No budget yet to buy wheel.

I'm using Realtek also but no problem with the game.

Try installing Vista SP1 and the latest Realtek driver.

Anyway, nice drifting man.

Then I really need to get Vista with SP1.
Every game developers really doing games for Vista. It's like all are planned, so that, everyone go for Vista

Any reduce performance or quality if set no hardware acceleration sound?

I saw a thread in the Codemaster>Grid forums mentioning that there's a slight problem with the new creative drivers for X-Fi models..you can go check it out

since i on back traction control, seldom car spin nowadays. no wonder it was so hard during start of race, or when driving at low speed.

No, it just show the starting line lol.. Really miss those replay.. T_T

lol, i feel it's easier without traction control, where there are tracks that you want to drift you car into the corners like the touge races.

is there amy way to reenable it?

use handbrake ler

dunno man. Touge is faster to drift the car compared to permanent track where it's larger and has a specified racing line
