I have both DiRT and GRID (demo) install.
Got weird prob.
If play DiRT, need to set full sound hardware acceleration in dxdiag.
If play GRID, need to set no sound hardware acceleration in dxdiag.

If not either one can not launch.

Is it because I run both in XP SP3. I think Vista users have no prob.
Or because of demo. Maybe X-Fi soundcard rclxub.gif

If set no sound hardware acceleration, will reduce sound quality or not?

Thanks a lot.

Try installing Vista SP1 and the latest Realtek driver.

I saw a thread in the Codemaster>Grid forums mentioning that there's a slight problem with the new creative drivers for X-Fi models..you can go check it out

Already check it out, before post in this topic. Hope to have some advice from 'sifu' around here.
Anyway, I think this game will have less problem with Vista SP1.
I bet everyone that does not have problems use Vista. laugh.gif

Just installed patch v1.1. Before this can not even play in Game Mode (SB X-Fi) biggrin.gif
Still can not set full hardware acceleration for sound. Can enable it in GRID option, though cry.gif laugh.gif

Everything is good. Sound great.
Gameplay is hard, but very2 enjoyable.
