hurrmm...quite ok the temp..not that hot since u are using the stock cooler..

btw,is the temp above is during the full load? or during idle? hmm.gif

EDIT: around 4-5C increased between idle and full load...so,what's the RPM of ur cooler fan? did u set it to 100% speed? im really interested to try it since i've done with my X2. drool.gif

i have some doubt here about proc core voltage when OCing my GC.

If I wanna OC my gc, do i need to increase proc core voltage? let say my voltage now is 1.35v. if i OC my gc,will there be any instability issue due to my voltage? anyone can clear my doubt? icon_question.gif

why not try to increase the cooler fan speed? my default fan speed is 40% (dunno the exact rpm as it only stated in percentage), the temp is around 50-52C when idle. i changed the speed to 60%, idle temp is around 44-45C. thumbup.gif Will post some screenies tomorrow..

btw,im using Asus and they've given a software so that i can change the fan speed. for other brand,i dunno. wink.gif

-pWs-

i've benchmarked it with 3DMark06. Improved around 1000+ nod.gif before OC,the score is around 6k+. after OCed,score increased to 7k+. dunno whether its good enough or not hmm.gif but i certainly feels the different when play games like NFS & Crysis. thumbup.gif

@-pWs-,

go laa OC ur card. then post ur ss here brows.gif im still at kampung now.will post my ss once i go back KL.

@MangKoK^ayon,

yup,a very good temp & OC! thumbup.gif
as i said,the temp will be around 55-56C max when play games.if stress it,temp max is 68C. so,very good card indeed!

yeaa...thats what im thinking ..but then,i think its my ram that limit the score. sad.gif dun have any idea,but logically,my proc & mobo is good,so should be the ram that limits my gc...(correct me if im wrong) sweat.gif

surely cpu ler.. mine also 10k when using 3ghz.. if not suffers 2-3k...
that's why i waiting for phenom to see the difference.. expecting 12k..

with current cpu.. oc gpu also no use.. this 3870 is overkill..

don't worry la bro.. i ran my rig using 400W only..
yesterday flashed with latest bios.. very good one.. fan speed fixed.. onload 60C not like before reaching 8+C
*
@8tvt,

are u sure that its the cpu is bottlenecking my gc? because im using only corsair valueram sweat.gif my x2 4000+ is running at 2.5ghz. i wanna know whether its the cpu or ram that is limiting my gc performance.. icon_question.gif

QUOTE(noobianz @ Dec 19 2007, 01:08 PM)
IMHO and from my experience,an Athlon X2 4000+@stock will bottleneck my 8800GTS 320mb which only score around 7k in 3dmark06(now im using HD3870)...after i oc'ed my proc to 2.7ghz, my 3dmark06 score increase to 8k+ with SM2.0 and SM3.0 score increase alot..the same situation happens when i change my GC to 3870...from 2.1ghz to 2.7ghz give me around 10-15fps bonus in certain games such as company of heros

so i would say,current X2(even 6400+) proc will bottleneck any high end or top midrange graphic card which include 3870,8800GT and so on
*
my x2 4000+ is running at 2.5ghz already sweat.gif after i OC my card,the score increase around 1k+

i saw ur signature,u r using Corsair valueram too,rite? so,would u say that i need to push my proc more so that i can get at least 9k score for 3DMark06?

i saw in review in the internet,3DMark06 score around 11k+ using stock core&memory clock! blink.gif
