may i know whats the best speed for proc to get a better score in 3DMark06?? have u tried one?

so far,i knew only mr. syazwanreno has provided his SS for the 3DMark06 score. maybe,mr. MangKoK^ayon can provide his 3DMark06 SS after OCed his gc

maybe,my proc need to OC to the speed same as mr. -pWs- i think.

Im back from kampung and as promised,here is my SS for my OCed gc.

-pWs-, really nice score there even before gc. i think,its the proc that bottleneck my gc as -pWs- using 3850 with proc speed 3.2ghz,stock can score 9402. compared to noobianz,he's using 3870 with proc speed 2.7ghz,stock score only 9077. even stock 3870 cant beat stock 3850!

so,i can conclude here that proc is the main culprit that bottleneck my gc.

why 3DMark06 didnt detect ur gc,proc,memory??

ur core & memory clock? temp when running on those settings?

are u sure that vista wont allow u to use 3DMark06 if u enable the sys req scan?
im using vista too..no problem on that.

owh..i thought,its the stock setting.
but still,after u OC more,u can beat that 3870 OC.
very jealous with ur score.

hurrmm,whats the speed of ur fan? mine if i set my fan at 60%, max temp is around 55C.

ehem ehem,lets try the new Cat 7.12. If big improvement,then i wanna OC my proc more so that my 3DMark06 score can be very near to -pWs- score.

btw,can only try it after 4pm. now working

is there any problem like artifacts or ur pc restart? i really would like to try to do that setting if there's no problem.

alrite.later after u did the stress,do post here ur SS.hopefully there will be no problem with that setting.

with that settings,u play games with all high setting rite? tried Crysis? no lag?

Using Catalyst 7.11 (after OC the card) score: 7783



Using Catalyst 7.12

(before OC the card) score: 7904



(after OC the card) score: 8142



Btw,my stock setting when using Cat 7.12 did beaten my OCed setting in Cat 7.11.

So,i think that im gonna push my proc more so that can get at least 9k score.

but if u OC the proc to at least 2.9ghz and above,then u can have a very good score in 3DMark06 But then,its only the benchmark though. its up to u to feel the different when u play games.

btw,im still happy with my OC setting for the gc. so far,can play Crysis with no problem so,i think that im gonna stop this OC things both for my gc & proc and concentrate on playing games..especially when holiday season is coming!

thats not good...thats very good for 3850 card..plus,its ur first try with that card.

mr. -pWs- tried so many times only can get that 10k score...

ic. how far can u go for core clock? i thought with 770 core,is the highest..did u flash ur bios? because u said can go higher rite..

yea yea...me too,another satisfied 3850 user!

no need compare which gc is same performance with 3850/3870. if ur instinct tells u that buy ATI gc,then go buy ATI lorr ...else,if u feels like wanna use nvidia,then buy nvidia...if not satisfied,then later can change to another gc maa...

haha..then,enjoy the card to the max. if wanna get more satisfied,then buy other gc cooler and then OC kaw-kaw..

so far,i OCed my gc till 700/1000. good enough for almost every games. so,no need to push more..enjoy it first. later,if more powerful game come out,then only considering another high-end card.

by using software given by Asus named Asus SmartDoctor.

still have other choice...buy Asus 3850.

later can CF ur gc.

nvrmind lor..later buy 3870 for Phenom rig.

so far, 700/1000 is my highest. maybe can go further,but too afraid to try. im satisfied with the settings when play games. so no need to push further i think.
