QUOTE(pky @ Jan 11 2008, 03:08 AM) I'm planning to step my foot into the DSLR world and get a 350D within the next few weeks. Most of my pict will be taken at low light condition such as during wedding dinner, mamak session, inside presentation room, etc with moving subject (a talking speaker on the stage, moving hands and face). Currently don't have enough budget for an external flash, so planning to take the photos without flash. I'm not like the pros in here but on your keywords, we can suggest that go get a lens that comes with IS (Image Stabilizer), or get a tripod, some of the basics when shooting low light photos without a in/external flash. Can recommend me a lens that suits my situation? i was recommended with a 50mm f1.8, will this be any good at freezing the movements at low light? and what does this lens mainly used for? And the kit lens 18-55, 50mm, is this figure equivalent to the 3x optical zoom found in compat camera's specs? 50mm f1.8, commonly this lens is used for portraits. |

QUOTE(vincent_audio @ Jan 12 2008, 01:07 AM) wow ! page 100... i lost track ! I am still struggling to make myself comfortable with the kit lens and I can't get use to it, maybe I love portrait shots 50mm f1.8 is a great lens you can play with quite a lot of composition with its shallow dof @ f1.8 By next week, it should be v2 already |
