QUOTE(CutieLynette @ Dec 2 2007, 12:13 AM) You might want to try playing with a 50mm f1.8 lens. It's very affordable compared with other lens and it produces great pictues (of course don compare it with a f1.4 la). If you're good at bargaining, you could get it a little lesser than RM300 with UV filter. i got mine for RM 250 or so. used unit la but works like new, with filter some more.I'm getting mine next week. QUOTE(fcbarcelona-my @ Dec 1 2007, 11:44 PM) maybe we can start with macro lens..coz it seems hard to snap a macro pic using standard kit lens (bundled with 350D while brought it). so..any advice? try reverse-kit lens technique. quite fun. QUOTE(skyther @ Dec 2 2007, 12:41 AM) f/1.4? not everyone has the budget. Why have 1.4 when you can have 1.2L? Added on December 2, 2007, 12:53 am QUOTE(fcbarcelona-my @ Dec 1 2007, 10:35 PM) since i'm oso a newbie..maybe sifoo2 her can recommend other lens that essential for photographing using 350D instead of standard kit lens. i onli have standard kitlens..but dunno any ense that fit with 350D. fcbarcelona-my, i rather you focus on skills than on lens for a start.let me share to you some shots done with kit lens. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() don't under-estimate your kit lens no matter how the photographer community bash the Canon kit lens. Kit lens is good enough for starters. Play around with it first and take nice pictures with it. If you think it's not good enough, then start searching around for a better one.

here's my share of kit lens ![]() ![]() ![]() this shots faked on some elements though ![]() Added on December 2, 2007, 3:17 ambtw, guys i found this lens calculator. Just go and see how's the focal factor on your camera, just remember what crop factor your camera is then apply the lens on it. http://www.sweeting.org/mark/lenses/ I found out that the 17-40L's 100+ angle of view only works on the full frame =/ makes me think twice whether i shud get it or not, because im a wide angle freak This post has been edited by R a D ! c 4 L: Dec 2 2007, 03:17 AM |
