QUOTE(gh0stz @ Mar 14 2008, 02:03 PM) hmph....minichamps mclaren mp-21 k raikkonen...or bmw sauber nick heidfield....or bothXD ...Both is better! But if me, I'll definitely get kimi's mp4-21 since the chrome effects of it is breathtaking. It puts Mattel's version to shame! By the way, is anyone here put off that Hot Wheels didn't announce Williams F1 diecast? I read on Leigh's diary that Williams would be joining a growing number of teams without a 1:18 scale diecast![Minichamps only have license to Williams 1:43] Norev had signed an exclusive deal to produce replicas of ING-Renault F1 team. So...what is left for Hot Wheels to produce[other than Ferrari]?

its sad to see tat Renault has canceled the license on their models to Hotwheels, this means tat Hotwheels may not produce any Renault F1 cars for this season... this is the news i got from GPL (hope can be reliable)... i was planning to get either Alonso or Piquet Jr's R28 from Hotwheels this year but now it seems to be impossible le... heard tat the license has been given to a diecast maker named Norev... Norev makes good diecast models especially on their Golf GTi which is quite superb... but i doubt if malaysia will have any Norev models available onot...

I guess the problem for us is that Hot Wheels are good at marketing and distributing their products internationally. They have Mattel Malaysia But we don't have local distributor for BBR and Minichamps. I guess for Norev, probably Jacky would have it A shame, since I can't wait to get hold of Alonso's R28. I hope they will bring in Ferraris in 1:43.

Ok, here is "Moving on to Norev, the big news was that they will exclusively be making the 2008 F1 Renaults in 1:18 scale. They also had samples of their 1978 Alpine Renault Le Mans winner, and light blue Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder." HereAnother short snippet "Interestingly, Mattel only announced replicas of the Ferraris. We know that Norev will be picking up the Renault licence in 1:18, so this may unfortunately mean that Williams could join Honda, Red Bull, Toyota etc in not having a 1:18 licensee. Hopefully Minichamps will announce their 2008 F1 line-up soon and then we will know what's what!" Here

They are a French company, so it's so only natural for Renault to award the license to their own kind. Norev's 1:43 diecasts are selling for US$45 and 1:18 US$69.[Maybe more or less the same for Renault F1] Perhaps slightly more expensive that Hot Wheels. But I really have my eyes set on acquiring Kimi's Ferrari and/or Alonso's R28. Alonso's cars are really colourful, from the black minardi to the yellow/blue Renault to the chrome Mclaren and the ING orange-ish R28. But Lewis' cars have the most values, especially if you have his limited editions.
