I am new user using N73 ME

Updating the firmware is free? Any problems so far for those who have updated their firmware? What's the benefit of updating?

i just bought a n73me ... without chinese language supported. i check the sticker behind battery the code is 0539343, according to this code .. chinese language should be available right?? but somehow my n73me only has malay,english,philipino and indonesia only ... why??

if u still have warranty, then they will do it for free. my friend already send his phone to nokia care and they made new firmware for free. (he still have warranty)

Thanks man, I got my girlfriend's phone updated to the latest firmware. No more "phone memory full" problem. Even comes with few extra software. The music player I think there is still some bugs. When in my WMP all the songs I have album art/cover with all the mp3 ID3 tag's album name I even change..but when I transfer to the phone some of the songs unable to display the album art. I transfer using WMP.

I just realized that taking photos in "night portrait" mode produces SIGNIFICANTLY brighter (tried in pitch black environment: almost like a xenon flash effect) and less noisy photos in low light. Can you guys try it out and tell me if it's the same for your N73/N73ME? In this mode, focusing is slower but photo snapping is about the same as auto mode.

Is the latest firmware can disable the camera shuttle sound when taking pic? I always take pic when at work, need to take pic for proof of work etc. Damn, very weird when everyone looking at me.

I don't know. Been quite some time I last came here.

i wonder if u guys notice this problem. i hv been using my phone for a little over a year. n now i notice whenever i restart my phone, it will ask me to key in the time and date again. i hv another annoying problem whereby some expired software r unable to b removed. so whenever the phone restart, it will prompt for installation again.
any similar situation?

Nope, doesn't have this problem until I reflash my firmware.
Go to 'Application Manager' and install those application that didn't install yet.

Last saturday nite, i was robbed. My N73ME was gone!!! Regretably, i had never put in any pin/lock code. So guys/gals, please do so. My LOVELY N73ME is totally DEAD!!!

My wedding ring was gone & some $$$ was gone too!!!.

yea...i think if WLAN is built in, it will be more fun...i still hate the camera shuttle sound...cannot take pic secretly when i want...

There is a 3rd party application named ccam. You can have a try to silent the camera shuttle sound but it will auto off the flash.

seems mine will auto restart when talk too long..
